Hi! I'm just curious about what all you teens and preteens think about DW. We'll be going in 2 years when my son is 9. It will be his 4th trip. Do you think he will still like the characters or will he be too old for autographs? At what age were you embarassed or bored by the characters? Also, have you ever been bored at Disney?

Bored?! At Disneyworld?! That's a joke! Of course, I've only been there twice, but I have never been bored! We went last summer and I still loved seeing the characters (I'm 18). Everything is still just so magical for me and I love it! I'm a Disney fanatic and my greatest memories come from DW. Might I suggest the Disney cruise? That was sooooo much fun! An unforgettable experience! Anyway, I think that if you've brought your son up right, he should always and forever enjoy DW. ;-) Have fun!

"The magic is as wide
as a smile and as
narrow as a wink, loud
as laughter and quiet
as a tear, tall as a tale
and deep as emotion.
So strong, it can lift the
spirit. So gentle, it can
touch the heart. It is the
magic that begins the
happily ever after."
THAT is Disney! ;-)

I CAN"T WAIT IM GOING IN 2 DAYS!!! YEA YEA!!

I am 15 years old, and have been to WDW 10 times... and I can't wait to go back! There's always so much new stuff every time I go, that I could never get bored. When I went to the World when I was 9, I got autographs and pictures with the characters. On my last trip (the beginning of the month), I remember standing on lines with a lot of little kids to get my picture taken with characters... and I wasn't embarassed at all :) . Have fun!

There is a law in Disney World... It's illegal to be bored there!
About the autograph thing, well 9 is kind of a rough age where you try to be real cool, but I think you should just ask him, I think he will still want to

I don't know any 9 yr old boys so I don't really know how your son would react now to the characters, but in my opinion, you can never be too old for Disney World. I'm 16 and I still enjoy going to Character Meals and collecting autographs! Also, I think it's very difficult to be embarrassed at WDW, because(and I don't mean this in a nasty way!), everyone else looks just the same. By this I mean that if your son was to get embarrassed by wearing Mickey Ears for example, all he would have to do would be to look around and he'd see that everyone else looked just the same! Disney World is supposed to be a fun place and there is something for everyone. I think your son will be just fine.

When I went at eight years old I didn't go for autographs, my younger sister did. It wasn't because I thought I was too old or anything, but I didn't want to lug around a hard covered (at least that was what they use to be!!!) autograph book when I was just as happy with a picture of me and the character! But it depends on your child also! Hoped this helped!

Wow this is a superly old thread...lol.....

How would you guys answer it now?

I would say..

What, when I went when I was nine I made my mom make a special trip to the giftshop for a autograph book..

Now that kids prolly like 14...wow... how things change...

I wonder how there trip went. I wonder what they're doing right now???

I know I know I'm weird, but I can't help it...:lmao:

I never have been embaresed by a charector, and have never been bored at WDW. And one of my favorite rides is goofys barnstormer at toon town. And i HAVE to see Mickey each time or the trip isnt complete ( by this i mean that Its not the same if you dont see the carectors.)

Brother, must we ask why this was brought back?

Although, I don't recognize about the first 3 posters :goodvibes

I'm 16...I've been to Disney WOrld 12 times, and I am going back in July...My brother is 18 going on 19 and has been there just as many. We love it...we don't get bored. I still get my picture taken with characters, as long as the line isn't long...It's part of the fun. Like every one else said....Bored at Disney? Haha...NO WAY! Have fun! :) ;)
