me too! I booked them for my wedding, and I think they're going to be great. You can get a really good idea of their work if you look at their website www.beautespeciale.com
Keep in mind though, that they do a lot of commerical work as well, not just brides. I've talked to both Debbie and Ana on the phone, and they are really helpful. I'm so excited for my trial run!!

I took pics and as soon as my computer is working better I will upload them. I was very happy. I had pictures of what I wanted and they really listened to my questions/concerns. Very impressed with them! I wanted my hair down and they really took into account my dress and what colors would look best on me.

I'm trying to decide if I'm going to be able to hire someone without telling my DW. She's only going to find out about 5 weeks before the VR and I would rather get there the week of the VR and if she needs talk with them then about what she would want for the big day. And does anyone know about how much they usually charge to do both? If that's too personal for me to ask, don't worry about it. [/FONT]

I am pretty sure that Beaute Speciale is $110 for both hair and make-up, and they come to your hotel room. I know that some of the other companies charge a little more, and others a little less. You could always have her trial run a few days before the wedding, and have that be the surprise. Keep in mind though, that they charge the same amount whether it's a trial run or not. Good luck with your decision!

You could always have her trial run a few days before the wedding, and have that be the surprise. Keep in mind though, that they charge the same amount whether it's a trial run or not. Do you mean that they would then charge $220 for a trial run AND the real thing?!! WHOA!!! I was hoping if we do a VR on Friday and came in on Monday that Monday or Tuesday she could just sit down with them and talk to them about what she would like to happen! Otherwise, I'll just book it and tell DW you'll get something, and you'll like it, but you don't get to choose!!

haha, yea I wouldn't advise paying that much just a few days in a row! I know there are several brides who have had their hair/makeup done without a trial run, and it went really well. I'm sure if you just call Beaute Speciale, and explain the situation, they would be willing to help!

I did not do a trial but had in mind what I wanted my hair to look like, and a picture of the hairstyle that I wanted. It came out better than I thought it would and didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would take. Ana charges 125.00 for both hair and makeup and she will come to you.

Golly, now I'm not sure - how many people have a trial run beforehand? Over here in the UK my friends have all gone for a trial, and been charged a nominal fee as they were booking the beauticians for the day also. I'm quite worried about having no idea what they would do to my face and hair before the big day!

I would have been a nervous wreck without doing the trial run. I just needed to the reassurance. For me, it was worth $110.

Rasberry Bubbles - I'm not having a trial run as I also live in the Uk, and I only arrive the day before my Wedding. I know exactly the kind of make up I want, and Beauty Speciale do MAC make up and have a wonderful portfolio so I'm not concerned in the least. The best thing to do is take pictures of what you would like, hair and make up and email them before your session. I have done this and they are more than happy to accomodate.
