I am a frequent visitor to Disneyland, and would like to take a tour on my next visit in February. This summer I took the 50th Anniversary Tour, so now I am trying to choose between:

*Welcome to Disneyland Tour (like the reserved seating and fastpasses)
*Walk in Walt's Footsteps (like the length & meal)
*Discover the Magic (sounds fun, but we are two adults...)

I wish so badly that they had the Segway tour at California Adventure available, but I've been waiting for a year, so it doesn't look like it is every going to come!

I would appreciate any thoughts on your favorite, and reasons for your choice, as well as a poll vote!! :tinker:

My husband did the Walk in Walts tour in March. He really enjoyed it. I've heard that they will not be doing the Segaway tour because of insurance issues. I'm sure the recall of Segways didnt help matters at all.

We did the Discover the Magic tour and my kids had a lot of fun. We were supposed to meet a princess, but I guess she was out that time, but we got a HUGE bonus when we were at the carousel... Mary Poppins rode with us!! We also met Woody and Jesse an added bonus! I will never forget kazooing down mainstreet  whooping it up like a cowboy thru adventureland and acting like a pirate pirate: on TSI. It was a great time... Oh yeah, we got lunch and a pin too! :cheer2:

I took the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour and really enjoyed it. We got to hear a lot of details about Walt's early years in the park, with particular details about the Tiki Room and Walt's apartment that was planned for where the Disney Gallery is now. I give it a :thumbsup2 !

I am throwing this topic back up, to see if I can get more responses. I still haven't booked the tour!

Do you have kids going? That will make a difference in my decision!

I am glad you posted this topic because my DH and I are having the same dilemma. We might just do both "Welcome to Disneyland" and "Walk in Walt's Footsteps". We will be there for 7 days, so might as well!

No kids going. A friend and I are extending a business trip for a few days! What are you thinking??

I sure wish they would get the Segway tour at Disneyland - it was so fun in Disney World!

So between the two choices (Welcome and Walt's), I'd choose Walt's in a heartbeat. Much more in depth and you get to step inside Club 33 lobby. <<insert choir singing here>>.

We just did Discover with our family, and it is definitely for the kids.

Had to ask because to me, the Discover the Magic tour is more family oriented. No, I know, you don't have to have kids to take it, but I think you should take advantage of the other two if you have no kids along.

My vote is the Walk in Walt's Footsteps.

We also were hoping for the Segway tour last year, but due to insurance reasons in CA, they were not able to implement it. Atleast that's what I have heard from various CM's

Is there anywhere I can read more about the tours offered? My husband and I are looking into going for the first time to DL and we would LOVE to do a tour. . . or at least look at them as an option.
