I am a renter and I need answers to the following questions:
When checking in it is alright to say I am renting?
Do you have to have a DVC member blue card to take advantage of the valet parking?
Does it matter if I purchase my park tickets from Disney or another source if I am renting and getting the dining plan?
Should I take extra towels due to them only being restocked on the 4th day of our stay?
Thanks in advance.

--Yes, you can state that you are renter (though they will not likely ask)
--Yes, you need to blue card for free valet (some may not ask for it, but it is a perk only reserved for owners)
--You can get your tickets however and from whomever you choose
--The Dining Plan will be added to your resort reservation and you will pay for it at check-in...does not have to be connected to park tickets at all.
--If you are staying in a 1 BR or larger, then you will have a w/d in your villa so will not need extra towels. If you are staying in a studio, you can do laundry for free or you can bring your own towels if you think you will need them.

Hope this helps.

You do have to set up the dining plan ahead of time though. You can't add it at check-in, you only pay for it then.

All of ThreeDisneyKids answers are spot on!

However:

I would not volunteer that I was a renter, unless asked by the CM at check-in. Use the generic term, "Guest" instead, as in, "I am a guest of the Ebays!"
There has been anecdotal evidence of 'Renters' being treated as second class guests, why look for problems. (Even though renting is still 'legal')

I also don't tell the CM's at check-in I'm from NJ either!

Please allow sufficent time for your Owner to add the Dining Plan. It must be added before your check-in and during normal MS hours!

Enjoy!

"Towel packs" (4 bath, 2hand towels and 4washcloths) are available. You can call housekeeping for them. They are $6 each. Or if you prefe, you can schedule etra "trash & towel" service, were a housekeeper will change your towels and empty the rtrash bins, for $10. Addition full housekeeping days are also available, $25 for studio, $35 for 1 bedroom, $45 for 2 bedroom & $60 for a Grand Villa.

Can I ask why you don't tell the CMs that you are from NJ.

Let me take a guess. You are trying to avoid that old joke. . .

Guest: I'm from New Jersey!

Desk Clerk: I'm sorry?

Guest: I said I'm from NEW JERSEY!

Desk Clerk: I HEARD you - I'm just sorry!:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You can say that you are renting, but it really doesn't matter.
Yes you do need the blue card to get the free valet parking.
You can get your tickets anywhere.
I don't understand the towel question. Will you be throwing out the towels after you use them?
Have a great vacation
