If you borrow points and then cancel, what happens to the points?

Am planning on booking at my home resort, BCV for next December, am thinking on trying at the 7 month period, seeing if I can switch over to the BWV. I'll be having to borrow points to do this. The BWV is fewer points than the BCV, so...........where would the borrowed points go? When would they have to be used by?

THanks

Points cannot be un-borrowed, so they would remain in the Use Year you moved them to. However, assuming that your reservation would require some current year's points as well, you could BANK the excess current year's points, thus moving them to next year.

Unless you are trying for a standard view room at the BWV, the points should be exactly the same.

And if you are trying at 7 months in Dec to get a standard view at the BWV, it probably isn't going to happen. Preferred view, maybe. Standard view, no.

I agree with Deb. Not much chance of getting standard view at 7 months that time of year.

If you do succeed with a standard view just remember to utilize all your borrowed points first so any left over points would be current UY, therefore bankable.
