Hi! Can anyone tell me about how the Disney Rewards Visa from Chase works?
What can I use the rewards if I am going to WDW?

Thanks!
Melanie :flower3:

You receive $1.00 for every $100. You can use the rewards card for any onsite meals. You can pay for your resort, souvineers, etc. Some snack places will not take the rewards card.

I have probably close to $100 in reward cards. I plan on giving my dd $50 since she will be with her h.s. band and we won't be with her to much. That way she can buy a souvineer she really wants.

You can really rack up points if you use your card to pay for every day type stuff. I use mine to pay my utility bill, phone bill, cable bill, newspaper, groceries, dentist, gas and such. Just be sure you pay it off every month or the reward points don't matter.

I thought that was how it worked. Can you use points for tickets? I also plan to pay everyday stuff with it & pay it off each month but is there a limit of how many rewards $ for each year?

Thanks again,
Melanie

There is a limit. I think it is around $750 per year.

I am pretty sure you can use the rewards card for tickets either at the gate or at your Disney hotel.

We don't use our Disney Visa very often, but we will have $60-something dollars for our next trip. That's a nice little somethin-somethin at a shop or most of a sit-down meal. :thumbsup2

I have a question for those of you w/the Disney Visa...can you make your payments online? Also, can you get your statement online? Do any of you know if there are these options?

Thanks

Yes I make all my payments online I believe though they will not make you make a payment three days after you already made one. So you have to be careful about that. Also I view all my statements online. They have your current statement online plus the activity since your last statement is soon. So you can always log in and check and make sure everything looks okay and there's no weird charges on your card.

Thank you! Another question then...can you opt not to get your statement via mail? I have one visa where you can get your statement electronically & do all the payments online and I have another that you cannot get the statement electronically, but can make your payments/view statement online. I know it's a stupid question, but I was just wondering. (I prefer to do most of my billing/payments electronically these days!!)

Yes, you can do that. I do not get my Disney visa statement in the mail. Nor my Amex. I like it- less shredding to do! And my mailman must think we are bill-less as I also have my gas, mortgage and car payment done all electronically.

Thank you Alice28!! Isn't that the best! Speaking of shredders...we received one from my in-laws one Christmas & I thought (for about 1 nano-second), what an odd gift...but then I realized how much we'd use it! I love it & now am the one who gives the "odd" gift! It's the best!! Somedays we get so much junk that I wish I had a commerical size shredder!!

Thanks again!

I know somewhere I have a little flyer that was sent with our statement once about what you can get with your reward points but I don't have a clue where it might be. Does anyone happen to have any information on what we can redeem our points for and how many points they cost? I just never seem to have the time to call them or do the research. Thanks a bunch.

One point equals one dollar and you can use it at WDW resorts for your room charges or at restaurants on property, etc. You can also use it at DTD WOrld of Disney and on DCL.

I am fairly certain you can use your rewards card (they mail you what looks like a gift card when you want to cash out your reward dollars) ANYWHERE on property that takes a credit card. Exceptions being the downtown disney shops and restaurants that are not run or owned by Disney (like Basin or Rain Forest Cafe, Lego, etc). If you want to use them in some obscure shop in Animal Kingdom- you can! If you want to use it to buy 10 mickey ice creams- you can! Or you can use it towards the balance of your trip costs, tickets, etc.

Any idea how long it takes to receive your rewards card? I ordered mine over a week ago, and I'm concerned it might have gotten lost in the mail!

HELP!!
Ok, I got my card last month & started using it. I also immediately signed up for paperless statements right away. Today I noticed that a due date & payment due popped up, so I figured a statement was produced...but when I went to look at my statement it said there wasn't one? Does this mean that I will be getting a paper statement via mail? If so, will the return address say Chase or Disney Visa? I ask because I'll be out of town & will need someone to watch for it in the mail. Also, even if I receive a paper copy of the statement, shouldn't there be a version of the statement online??

Also, tell me how the rewards are calculated?! I thought it was $1.00 for every $100? I have 59 rewards but my balance is over $800?

Lastly, when I signed up there was a $40 incentive...not sure if it was stated as a Disney Gift Card or Disney Reward Card or what...but I was wondering if it was a Reward Card would my $40 be part of the 59 reward points? Or should I be receiving that $40 separately?

Sorry...just trying to figure it all out. I suppose I could call Chase too huh?! :0)
TIA
Jen
