Sticker Exchange for Kids

I got one of those "chain letter" type things for kids where you send one packet of stickers to the person listed as #1 and then put your name as #2 move #2 to #1 slot and send letter to six friends. Then the kids are supposed to get a whole bunch of stickers in the mail over the following weeks. I'm going to do it for my daughter but wanted to send it to 6 people who I thought would actually participate. Anyone want to be one of my six?

I love to scrapbook and love stickers .. i would love to hear more about this? how exactly does it work ??

I would send you a letter (I would also send one to 5 other people) on it would be instructions and 2 names and addresses. You would send a sheet of stickers to the person listed as #1, she is the person who send the letter to me (little Natalie). My daughter (Isabelle) would be listed as #2 (you don't send her anything). There would also be a blank letter included. You would photocopy the blank letter and under #1 you would put my daughters name and under #2 you would put your name. Then you send this letter to 6 people. Each of these 6 people will see my daughters name as #1 and send her stickers and put you on top of the list when they send out their 6 letters so you would get stickers from all those people that the person you send them to send them to. If everyone were to do it you're supposed to get stickers from 36 people (6x6) So it costs you 1 set of stickers and 7 stamps to do it.

Be careful. we tried this with hair accessories, post cards and books and we mail out ours and have never got a thing back. Kinda like a pyramid scam on a kids level.

Oooh, Im very interested! DD and DS would love some stickers. How should I contact you?

Anyone interested can e-mail me at casprelli@yahoo.com

I've tried them before too and had them not work but theres a first for everything. I thought if I send them to 6 people who WANT to do it we'll have a better shot!

I think it would be a lot easier and safer if we just got a list of people who's children are definitely invited and just have a swap here. Instead of each person having to find 6 people to mail off a letter to in hopes that they will participate, we could get people who definitely WILL participate. Just a thought. I know my DD13 loves stickers (she scrapbooks) and would enjoy this.

I think this is a good idea too! .. we should just do a sticker exchange!

Just realized I made a typo and now it's quoted for all eternity  :rotfl: I do know that it is supposed to be whose not who's and I meant interested, not invited  :sad2: ;) That's what I get for DISing instead of sleeping :)

Personally I think we should do it on here. If we did then we wouldnt have to worry about not getting sent anything. You know what I mean? Im not a kid but I would do it (im a teacher).

I would prefer to do it through the dis, but i'd do it either way. My kids really want stickers :)

ETA: If we were to do this exchange on the dis, would we make it so that everyone sent stickers to everyone? I think this way everyone would get lots of stickers, as apposed to just getting one sheet of stickers.

Well its not that expensive to send stickers so Everyone could send to like 6 people or so. I dont know how you guys orgizine these things but yea. We could even have everyone send there stickers to one person with a stamped envolope and that person could orgizine them and send them to the otheres so that way if 14 people signed up, everyone would get 14 sheets of stickers.
