raglan road

We love it! It's on our list for every trip now! We've been there three times, and have not been disappointed yet. :thumbsup2

We loved it! We didn't have an ADR for one night & just walked in. We only waited about 10 min. The food & atmosphere was great. They had live music & a lady dancing. I think that starts at 8pm every night. We've already made an ADR for our June 2007 trip. Can't wait!:cool1:

I like Raglan Road. I love to sit at the bar and eat, they'll serve the full menu there, and the bartenders are great.

They had a guy with a guitar singing folk songs. He had to go and sing that song about the unicorn. After a couple of pints it's funny, though.

We ate there the first week in December.. food was very good and the entertainment was a blast....We had great service as well and I would recommend this restaurant and when I return I will eat there again.. :thumbsup2

Agree with everyone. We've been twice and really enjoyed it. Just made a reservation for our next trip today.

We haven't been there late enough for the entertainment though. It is very peaceful in the early evening.

Have they started to serve lunch?

We went after Illuminations one night, as we were told that they take ADRs until 11pm. It turns out, however, that after about 10pm they offer a limited menu which was a little bit of a disappointment. The ribs we had were good, if a little greasy, but the main problem we had was the volume of the entertainment! There was one guy singing, and it was literally so loud, I would have put in earplugs, but I was afraid of being rude. I asked one of the girls in the shop if it was usually that loud, and she said no, usually they have about 4 guys playing and then that was when it could get a little loud.

Additionally, my DM went to use the restroom, and said when she came out, she saw reflected in the mirror, a guy urinating in one of the stalls with the door open! So frankly, I'm torn--on the one hand, everyone raves about the food there, and I'd like to try the regular menu...but on the other hand, the prospect of the communal restrooms and bleeding from the ears is a little off-putting as well. ;)

Love the music, food, service and drinks BUT I could do with out the new age irish step dancer....I like my old school, if you want to call it "stiff" Irish step dancing.

Great place, Great people....all people were having a great time and they even played a lot of common irish pub sing a long songs! Have fun! :cool1: :thumbsup2

We went twice last October and loved it. The Strawberry & Apple crumble was amazing :goodvibes

:)

We went there and spent over a half hour waiting to see a server. We never did left and had a nice time at the House of Blues. They think Raglan Road is an Irish pub but nothing could be farther from the truth. Its more like TGI Fridays with Irish beer. Its very loud and if you sit in the middle, there are bars in the back of chairs so people are literally hanging over you. I was very disappointed.

I went on Friday night for the first time. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the music and the dancing.

The food was okay................I was expecting a larger menu, its pretty limited actually.

And we had the best server ever. She was great!!

I'd go back!!

Unfortunately our experience here was very disappointing. We did not like the food - shrimp cocktail was not cooked enough, fish & chip was extremely greasy and the portion was small. Salad was okay. Not only was the food just FAIR but the waiter was the worst waiter we have ever had in WDW.

It could have just been a bad day, but we will never go back. :confused3

We LOVE pub atmosphere's we suggest ROSE & CROWN anyday! :thumbsup2

Only been there once. Had good food and great service. The restaurant itself was pleasant for me. Overall, thumbs up. :thumbsup2 But, I'm not dying to go back any time soon.

It is now my favorite place to eat on Disney Property- my DH's too! We have been there at least 10 times now and plan to go back on our next trip (in 4 days!!) The food is great and the atmosphere can't be beat. I love the live music at night and the Irish dancer.

We wont ever go back either. The food was reasonable but the portions were small. The air con wasnt functioning properly (August!), the entertainment was dire and the waiter lousy. I was so glad to get out. I loathed the place.

You have piqued my curiosity, SassyLassy. My DD has been Irish dancing for over ten years now, I have to admit I have never heard of 'new age' step dancing.:confused3 DD does both soft and hard shoe dances; jigs, reels, ceili dances, etc. Could you please describe the dancing done at Raglan Road? Thank you! :shamrock:

I've been twice and I loved it both times!!! It was our favorite meal of both trips. The food was pretty good, the Fish and Chips were great and the Bread Pudding was amazing, but some items on the menu weren't great(the Shepards Pie). I loved the music and the dancer. I can't wait to go back again!

Hey KT!

Well first off the outfit was a bit more provocative :rolleyes1 then I was expecting. Dont get me wrong...she didnt look slutty or anything, just more provocative than I was expecting! Secondly, there were the flaring arms!! Above her head, flaring around, side to side....all over....just odd to me. :confused3 I have seen this done before but very rarely at never in competitions.

One of my friends and I nearly spit our out our beers laughing so hard because of the "flaring arms". We just weren't expecting it since I thought that this was suppose to be more of a traditional pub. The pub was nice, dont get me wrong but I think it was just so-so.....but I realize that it is also Orlando not Southie, Dorchester, NYC or even Providence where they have a lot more "home" feeling.

I was also a bit peeved (as was a group of guys behind us) that the dancer was the only being tip. Only very few tip the band who were fabulous IMHO.

I hope your daughter still dances! I never formally took classes but growing up in Dorchester and Southie we had a few Irish weddings and parties where you learned it from. We were taught hard & soft shoe, slip jig a but mainly just from friends who had been doing for life.

Gosh, I hope i didnt sound :snooty: ?!
