We created a "Magic Moment" for someone!

Hi! We were at AK on 12/16....got out Fast Passes to EE early in the day for all 8 in our party. We knew that 2 people would not be riding: one due to motion sickness and one for height, but got all 8 anyway. When we finally went on EE, the stand by line wait time was 80 minutes! It was 4 pm and the park was closing at 5pm! When we got off the ride all the kids wanted to go a second time. There was no fair way to let 2 people go (even though we thought the adults should be allowed a 2nd ride!;) ) Anyway, I said, "How about giving these 2 fast passes to the very last people in the stand by line?" We all agreed. It was really a "feel good" moment for all of us and those 2 people were stunned and excited! I don't think they really believed us at first! I can only imagine how the real "Dream Makers" feel!

We did get to be the Family of the Hour on Soarin'! That was cool! Saved a Fast Pass and/or an hour wait!:goodvibes

I end up doing this about half of the days I'm in a park, either because a couple of us decided not to ride, or we can't wait as long as we need to, or sometimes I just grab a few when we're ready to leave, strictly for this purpose.

It feels great to spread some pixie dust, but it's just shocking how many people don't know what FP is, and how many people are suspicious of my doing such a random act of kindness.

And by the way, karma finally paid off. On our only AK day, we hopped from MK and didn't arrive until about 2:00 p.m. (it was EMH night). Near the park entrance, we found out that Expedition Everest was closed due to mechanical problems and they weren't sure how long it would be down. My 6 year old son and I went there around 4:30 p.m., and the FPs were all sold out. The standby line was 70 minutes, which would have been very tough for him. We decided to stick it out and wait -- he was talking about EE for a month before our trip.

Well, it was so wonderful when, about 30 seconds after we got into the line, a teenager walked up to the CM at the entrance of the stand-by line and said he had one extra FP that his family wasn't using. I was right next to the CM. He asked if I was a party of 2, and I said "Yes." He took out a stamper and stamped "YETI" on the FP, and told me to tell the CM at the FP return entrance that "Nick said it's OK."

Boy, was it OK!!! We just walked right on, there was hardly any FP line.:thumbsup2

I don't do nice things because I hope nice things will be returned to me, but it sure is nice to be on the receiving end once in a while!!!

I always give my unused fast passes to any 2 adults I come across because I like to make some magic for grown ups like me when I can :) And like someone else mentioned, it must be karma because I've also been the recipient of such kind gesture in a couple occasions.

Only once I couldn't find 2 adults to give my Dinosaur passes to so I left them on top of a trash can in the hopes that someone would find them and use them.

I gave away a ton of FP's this past trip. I did rides so efficiently, I simply didn't need all the ones I had gotten at the beginning of my day, and gave them to anyone standing in line. Problem was, there was only one of me, so it was hard to find single people in line to take 'em!

That is great! Way to share the magic!!

I do not believe in "karma", but I sure know that smiles and niceness is contagious. Glad you could spread some of those "good germs" around! :)

We did the same thing at MGM on the 27th. Since we were a party of 8, we had 8 FPs for Rock n Roller coaster but only 4 in our party would actually ride it. My dad went up to four adults standing down in the area of the ride and asked if they wanted to ride RnR. They said yes, but didn't want to wait in the line and he surpised them with the FPs. They were so thankful and I think it made my dad feel good too.

If every DISer did one such random deed on each trip it would be a Year (or more) of MILLIONs of Dreams. :cheer2:

Taken a step further and doing such things in our every day lives and what do we get? A more perfect world as others would be inspired to do so also.

Slightly Goofy

We were the lucky recipients of a good deed on our last trip. The four of us had entered Animal Kingdom in the a.m., and saw it was already very crowded. Some people were leaving (I assume to go to a less-crowded park that day), and one of them came up to me and offered us 4 FPs for the Safari. What a magical moment that was; it really made our day!

You all are what makes Disney so special and a place my family wants to visit again and again! Thanks for keeping the magic alive.

When we went to Disney in October we had gotten the Fantasmic package with priority seating. Well, if we went to Fantasmic that night we wouldn't have been able to see Wishes at all that trip. So we stood on a corner near the main entrance of MGM looking for a party of two to give our priority seating pass to. It took us a while, but we found a couple who didn't understand at first. :confused3 They thanked us in the end. I love doing things like that. :goodvibes (We did go back to see Fantasmic another night, I loved it!)
