Question about 'Biergarten' in Epcot

Yes they do, they also have Family style dining where you are seated with strnagers, unless that has changed.

Yes. According to http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/ ,

"Experience the excitement of Oktoberfest with a festive dinner show in the Biergarten.
Daily at 12:45, 1:45, 2:45, 4:15, 5:45, 7:00 & 8:15pm
Length of show: 25 minutes "

We saw the 12:45 show on our trip earlier this month.

I'd say it's more buffet than family style dining - however, yes - you are seated at long tables with others. Since you're getting up and down for food and dancing - it's not bad at all. We really enjoyed it!

I don't mind being seated with strangers, either. I find it part of the fun of this restaurant. And yes, there is entertainment during lunch and dinner.

Yes, you are seated with others but that led to one of our most enjoyable dining experiences. My husband and I were seated with two older females traveling together. They sat across from each other. Then another couple who about bowled us over at the podium to get there for their seating. Not a nice couple. They sat next to each other on the opposite side of my husband and me. Then we had a seventh person come just before the drink orders were taken. He sat across from my husband, next to the not-so-nice people. Conversation was stilted because the not-so-nice couple were in between all of us and not saying a word. We all got up to get our stuff from the buffet and were enjoying it without too much conversation. After about fifteen minutes, the not-so-nice couple got up again. The rest of us thought they were going back to the buffet (they hadn't eaten that much to begin with). They never came back. Once we realized that, everyone had such a great time. It turned out the two older ladies were from Philadelphia and I grew up outside of that area. The single guy had been stationed in Germany with the Army and missed that kind of food. He taught us all the German drinking songs and he and my husband talked about military life (the husband was in for 12 years). The ladies and I talked about Philadelphia. Initially I thought it was going to be the worst thing we ever experienced at Disney World. Turned out to be the best.

We ate here last week and it was sooo funny when we were seated with strangers our DD11 sat down and whispered to me "this is so not cool". By the time we were done eating and they pointed out that it was my DD birthday and our new friends helped us celebrate we had a great time.

We all need to step out of our comfort zones at times!

This is a great spot, and are one must do. It seems that there is almost always a live show going on, or if they are on break, back in about 15. Never been there when there wasn't something go on, it seems. And it's great food. Love it.

Thanks for the great info!!! Our ADR is for 6:55!!! Just in time for the 7:00 show! woo hoo!

I suggest you arrive about 15-20 minutes early, just to be sure you DO get seated in time for the show, and have a chance to get some food first.

If I'm there, and have had a couple schooners of beer, I'll entertain you.

I usually suggest that if you are seated with another party, try not to look at them as if you're being seated with Charles Manson. Unless, of course, it IS Charles Manson. In which case, you should at least call the cops before he gets into the schooners of beer.

One of the main reasons we are trying this restaurant in June is b/c I read in a tour book they have stuffed cabbage..my all time favorite food!! Is this true? I did not see it listed on allears.net :confused3

I've always wanted to eat here but my Daughter hates German food. So this coming May when I make my first solo trip to WDW the Biergarten is on my list of places to go.

So if you see a single traveler sitting down with you please welcome him! I promise I won't bite and I can be good company. :)

a friend of mine told me a story about his visit to "Germany" where he ordered "the biggest beer you have" and was treated to a very very LARGE stein of beer. in which he drank and then ordered another to be snarly! and drank it too! is this at Biergarten? anyone know the size/cost specifics of this stein o'beer?

I don't remember seeing it on the buffet. There was cabbage, but not stuffed.

There was not stuffed cabbage when we were there in October. But there's plenty of other great food.
