found out yesterday that I didn't just hurt my foot - but broke my little toe - seeing the bone doctor tomorrow and hoping he can fix it.

my big problem is my car - always drive and my car has an manual transmission

this is my left leg and really need it for the clutch. Now came back from Florida with this problem and it was not a big deal - yes it hurt at times. but nothing stopping.

really want to go - have not been on July 4 - but once before and it was fun.

so do I go anyway - or wait until I see the expert and then decide.

It won't be the pain that would stop me - it would be hurting my foot permanently.

Thanks!

I am looking for ideas. DD13's girl scout troop is heading up to Orlando next week. There will be 9 girls and 7 Mom's. Last year we stayed on property & went to EPCOT. I organized a visit to Beaches & Cream for the kitchen sink, and a breakfast at Whispering Canyon the day we checked out. Now this year we are just going to stay off site at Flamingo Waterpark on 192 & the turnpike.
Since I amazed everyone last year, I have been tasked with planning the lunch, dinner and breakfast. (Note to self, no good deed goes unrewarded!) I know I can't match a Disney experience.

All I am thinking is getting some pizzas and a few 2 liters of soda for dinner ( I will pick up and bring back to the hotel) then maybe heading out for ice cream someplace on 192. This is because I am thinking that the girls will not want to leave the water park, shower, do their hair, and dress. to go to dinner.
Then for breakfast when we leave, stop at Ihop. I know it is not close to the experience last year, but if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate hearing them.

Soooo....we could always pay to park every day, but anyone have any other strategies?

Some people we are going with are staying at AKL--can we somehow park there and bus it over? I know you can park for free at the water parks--is that the best idea?

Any thoughts?

Going in Oct, stumbled across the Westgate 4 day / 3 night "deal" with the Touch of Magic Tickets - for sitting through the sales pitch. We only have 3 days - stopping off in Orlando on the way to Tampa for a wedding - so I am fine with the non-upgradeble tickets, I am fine with the non-park hopper tickets (we never park hop, even when we have paid for it) and I am fine with the 3rd park day being a waterpark - I see it as a bonus since we were only planning on 2 days. We would save around $400 with this "offer" vs what I was looking at to stay on site (I am also fine staying offsite, we have done it both ways and don't have a preference). I am an attorney and perfectly comfortable with bullying someone that is trying to bully me - I have done timeshare presentations (w/o buying) before - so my question is, is this one really that bad and that much worse than others?

We just checked into our condo at Windsor Hills and when we opened the front door to our condo we all said "Wow", at the same time! We are so pleased with our decision to get a condo for this Disney trip. We booked through Florida Sun Vacation Homes and our three bedroom condo is huge! It is clean, nicely decorated, in good condition, and looks just like the photos online. We still can't believe all we got for the price we paid. The security guard at the entry gate to the resort was really nice and helpful and our building was very easy to find. We checked into our condo after spending a leisurely afternoon at the Magic Kingdom since we had a morning flight and we were so surprised how easy and quick of a drive it was to get to Windsor Hills from the Magic Kingdom which is supposed to be the furthest park from this community. DH said that the drive couldn't have been more than ten minutes, if that. I am definitely going to time our drive as we are going back to the Magic Kingdom tomorrow. We are heading back out now to make a grocery store run, but I just had to log on and share with my DIS friends how happy we are. We had our initial concerns about the idea of staying offsite and so far everything has been going smoothly from renting a van at the airport, to driving to the MK from the airport, to kicking off our vacation at the MK, and the surprisingly quick and easy drive to our beautiful and huge Windsor Hills condo!

Hi
Haven't been on the site for awhile (ok, 5 years !!) but looking for any help as DW & I are heading back next Summer. We've stayed at Homewood Suites Convention Centre 3 times before & chose the Hotel as it offered free shuttles to Universal AND Disney.
Doesn't look like this service is offered anymore + the Hotel seems to have plummeted 100 places on TripAdvisor.
So my question is...are there any Hotels out there (I-Drive or nearby) that offer complimentary shuttles to both resorts. We prefer not to drive on our hols & like the central nature of I-Drive area.
Thanks in advance.
