And he knows that I am hoping to go back. He has always said that we will not go back until after the dog is dead (she's a 10yo beagle, his baby). But lately things have been said that make me wonder if he is planning something.

For one thing, he said something about knowing that I want to plan my next trip for November before Thanksgiving or early February. I didn't even think he paid any attention to what I'd said about that.

Youngest dd commented that she is planning her son's birthday party early (his bd is Nov. 15) and when I asked why, she sort of stumbled around for an excuse. She said her sil always seems to plan something that conflicts with his bd. Always? The boy is just turning 2 in November, how can there be an "always"?

Today dh asked me if I have enough fall clothes. He has never, in 31 years of marriage, asked me about my clothing supply. He told me he thought I ought to buy some new clothes for the fall. This is totally unlike him.

When I sat down a week or so ago playing around with trip dates at the Disney site, I came up with the same length-of-stay trip at the same resort (including tickets and dining) as we did last year for $500 less. When I mentioned it to him, he went overboard about how it was not feasible for us to go this year. His reaction seemed way too exaggerated.

And when I was showing Disney pictures on the computer to my dgd last week, my sil said to me, "So, you really don't think you'll be going back any time soon?" Almost as if he were testing me to see if I knew anything.

I've been helping my youngest dd since she had twins in March (along with a 3 1/2 yo and 1 3/4 yo) and recently I started helping another young mom in our church who doesn't have any family around. Dh has said a few times that I need to consider taking a break. Maybe I should ask him if he has any particular kind of break in mind . . .

Ok, so maybe I am jumping to conclusions and setting myself up for a big disappointment. But a girl can dream, can't she? And if a girl can, then this old lady can! And I just had to tell somebody and I can't say anything to any one around here.

Oh, and my birthday is in October. He knows that I am a planner, so I don't think he would do the "pack your bags" routine. I do think he would give me a month's notice.

I am getting called into the office on Weds. :scared: Why do I feel like I have done something wrong? In my DD's folder there was a note from the teacher asking for me to call her asap. I did and she said nothing to worry about she just wanted to set up a meeting about my DD. I asked Cat what happened at school today, she said they were doing really easy stuff, looking for shapes around the room and then labeling them- apparently she started to label cylinders, spheres, rectangular prisms, hexagons, ect... I guess her 1st grade teacher was looking for the kids to find squares, triangles, and ovals. The teacher took her to the office to talk to someone there (I am guessing a counselor). She said they talked a lot and played some games... :confused3

I really do not want her skipping a grade. That was suggested at the end of last year. She never acts up or gets into trouble but I am getting the feeling that the teacher is worried about her being so ahead. She does 12 hours of dance a week. I don't want to add anymore pressure.:guilty:

My DD is not gifted, just bright and I happen to love teaching her. We do so many fun hands on activites that she just seems to soak right up. My mom said she knew this was going to happen. I wonder if I stick my DD in front of the TV all weekend if that will kill a few brain cells and I won't have to go in on weds. ;)

On the flight there I have a choice between an hour and 15 min stopover in Denver and a 1 hour and 5 minute stopover in Chicago Midway. Which would you pick? Anyone know anything about the Nashville airport? It will be myself, DH and DD age 2. We will be checking her carseat at the counter so as not to have to haul it to the gate. I am going to use the CARES harness on the plane. We will be gate checking a stroller and having the usual carry-on stuff.

I have to say I spoke to a very rude reservationist! This is the first time I have encountered that when calling Disney. Not that everyone I spoke to was in the "magical" spirit, just never rude. As he was checking he asked if I had any questions and I asked why the discount code was blacked out for that week. He point blank told me it was a marketing strategy and why would Disney offer a discount when they don't need to? RUDE RUDE :snooty: Anyway--I said it was available just about every other time and he again rudely said there are 2 huge conventions and it was going to be mobbed!! NOT what I wanted to hear! i asked him what conventions and he said there was a "Dancing with the Stars" convention. I don't know if I even believe him but that is what he said. He also said there was another big convention and smaller ones too and everything is booked up! I asked him to check the CR for the following week and he told me it was booked also. Funny, cause I just checked online and CR is available.
