When is Spring break for the US?

In Canada, our Spring Break is known as March Break and it's the 3rd week of March. We're looking at going in Feb 2007, when is Spring Break for you guys? For 2006, the 3rd week of Feb the parks stay open until 11 pm, so I'm guessing it's then. If so, what's it like the 3rd week of Feb for crowds and weather? Thanks in advance.

Spring break is determined by each individual county and can be anywhere from early March to late April. Some use Easter weekend as a basis, others do not. My school district is usually the first week in April regardless of Easter.

The week you are referring to is President's Day week and that is a crowded week also.

I asked a similar question awhile ago...
the answer is just about anything from mid Feb till early May and everything in between!
Sorry I can't be more exact.......Some schools have week breaks scattered....like some that have a week in Feb call it a Winter Break and then some have Spring Break in March and some have it around Easter.
What I am a bit envious of is the ones that have both a Spring BReak and also and Easter Break, both a week long!!! :worship: ::yes::
My son goes to school about 8 days longer than the public schools around here...lucky us :rolleyes:

As others already stated-it will vary from March-April. Ours is the 3rd week in March this year.

Like others have stated it varries for each state, which is then broken up into counties. For us it's the 2nd week of April this year.. but it greatly varries from march to end of April.

Thanks everyone for the tips, especially about President's Week. That's the week it stays open late! We're going to try to go down the 10th-20th, and do our parks prior to President's weeks when the crowds will pick up.
