It's especially annoying when you're trying to post or send a PM and you don't know if it's gone or not!!!

Yes I do. Either that, or I can't open up any pages. Even when I click, the computer will not go through to various threads or boards/

Yep, all the blooming time! I try to post, it says "server too busy..." and then when I try and post again it tells me the post is a duplicate of one I posted a few minutes ago - even thought I didn't think it had gone the first time!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Rhiannon - If you post and then get the "Server too busy" message, press Refresh until it goes through. I think that way you will only end up posting once - though I could be wrong (not being very techie and all)!! :badpc:

At least l'm not alone then with this server too busy thing. better not :badpc: then. Does this seem to happen more in the evening, when there are more of us logged on? (Had the same message sending this post too - Arrrgh!! :headache:)
YES, actually just got one right before I tried to post this reply!! What is the deal??
Perhaps the DIS has had an influx of new members, all wanting to be part of the DLP uber clique!!! :teeth:
Disclaimer: just kidding :duck: The DISboards has over 84,000 members now - so I suppose it's not surprising that the server gets a bit upset at times!!!

Yes - I'm getting this message quite often.
Is it just because of the number of people logged on or are there other reasons?

I'm afraid I've been experiencing this over most of the festive!!1 Just presumed it was local problems up here - we've not long ago received broadband in our area and its caused all kinds of hiccups!! Its just toooo popular a site!

How did you do that?
And for the errormessage - they only starts to appear in the afternoon - so I think it is clear that it is a problem with to many users.
But if everyone of this 84 000 Users just donate 1€ or 1 $ they can buy such a big and huge server with so much capacity that we will see the Message never again. :earboy2:

How did you do that?
Go to "User CP", then "Edit Options", then "Messages and Notifications" - it's under "Default Thread Subscription Mode".

I usually find it is worse around 10pm or 11pm at night, perhaps that's when our US friends are logging on at home. Although I have had terrible trouble today!

It's happening today (Tuesday) ... too often !!!!
 Maybe ... too many posts ??!!! :rotfl2:
I think we have been transfering to a new server, and this sort of message tends to pop up while things are getting settled. Happens every time, but (happily) it doesn't last forever.
