These are three pictures of Disney's Rainy Day Cavalcade. I took the pictures on 12/31/05. It was New Year's Eve and the regular parade was rained out (and anyone who was there that day would tell you how heavy the rain was). But to keep the magic going, as soon as they could they had Disney's Rainy Day Cavalcade. It wasn't announced in advance, it was just an quick impromptu little parade.

This is my fiance proposing to me in the elevator of Club 33 during the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour last October. He had only been to Disneyland once before we started dating so shortly after we started dating we went for a weekend trip. A few months later we both had annual passes and went at least 5 times a year, needless to say Disneyland is our favorite place to be. So when he decided to propose he knew it had to be in Disneyland in a special place, he even got the ring at the antique jewerly store in Disneyland! This is a moment I will never forget.

This is us on the Disney Gallery terrace at the end of the tour. The assistant tour guide had gone down to the Blue Bayou kitchen after the proposal and told the staff what had happened and had them make special desserts for us to congratulate us. My new fiance was so touched that he decided to keep one of the cakes to eat one our first anniversary, unfortunatly it was a little worse for the wear after the 4 hour drive home but at least we have pictures!

This is a pretty simple picture, but it was my first time back since I was a kid (DH's too), and it was DS's first time there... We drove up from San Diego (visiting my brother) that morning, got there a bit late (despite my best efforts to hurry everyone along), parking took forever, the tram was fun, the walk in was more and more exciting...and even though it was drizzly, we just knew it was going to be great.

Thanks NostalgicDad! They were taken with my Oly 4MP. It's time to upgrade -- that's why I keep asking everyone what kind of camera they are using! ;) The shutter lag time on that camera is ridiculous!

October 2005 my whole family went and we took my cousins who was 5 at the time. It was his first time. Peter Pan is his absolute favorite... Peter was in a hurry and my mom asked him nicely if he could spare just a moment. I love looking at this picture and seeing the grin on my cousins face.

This is me and my youngest DD on the balcony waiting for Fantasmic! to start. I could only get reservations for the 10:30 showing, so by the time we got there she was really tired, but she managed to squeeze out a smile. Once the show started, however, her face lit up with re-newed energy. I think her spirit of DL was what kept her going! :wizard:

This is a photo of Walt Disney's Apartment above the main Steet Fire Station where he would light a lantern signaling when he was in fact in the park. The CM's keep the lantern lit to symbolize that even though Walt Disney is no longer alive; his spirit is and always will be in the park.
