I'm looking for info on a nice, clean grocery store on the way from MCO to WDW. Need to pick up a few essentials before check in. Thanks!

We stopped at Publix from the airport. However, we use a car service, so I don't know the exact location.

We, too used a car service last time and they stopped at Publix. I am not sure exactly where it was.

There's one called Goodings (I believe that's the name) pretty close to one of the WDW entrances.

Albertsons is great! It is right on the way. Allearsnet. com I think has the address and phone. You can fax them a shopping list and they will have everything waiting for you in a cart. It is very reasonable, and I even signed up for a card ahead and used it for discounts when I checked out. Our stop was less than 10 minutes for a whole cart of groceries for our week at WDW. It was fantastic. Super nice and clean, great selection of everything and not overpriced.

there is a walmart if you have a rental car. that way you can get water, fruit, snacks... as well as a few items like sunscreen, toys... for the kids.

Go to allears to get driving directions. I am not sure of the exact location on the site, so I usually use the search mode and type in driving directions. Click on the first link it gives you and then you'll be able to choose your airport (in this case mco) and your resort destination. From there it will give you directions to the resort and will include, at the bottom of the page, a few options for grocery stops along the way. It was a great help on our last trip.

Do you know if FL Tours stops at either of these places? :confused3 I know Albertsons sells wine, but does any of the other places sell wine? I'm probably not going to be able to bring the brand of wine I like to WDW with us, so thought we'd go shopping for it before hand. It probably costs "an arm & a leg" not to mention a foot too, to purchase at WDW. :rotfl:
Thanks for the info ! :goodvibes

i use publix that is in a shopping strip mall on universal blvd.
easy in and out from the highway.
employees are used to tourists and will direct you to the correct aisle ifyou need help.
this stop is 17 minutes away from disney and cheaper than goodings.
from my experience, the ones closer to wdw, have some higher prices.

Our last trip WDW had not begun shuttle service to and from airport. We rented a Mears shuttle van for the 8 of us and they gladly made a stop at a grocery for us on our way to the park. We had requested a fridge in our room- so we had yogurt, snacks, milk, cereal, poptarts. Saved costs of one main meal:)

Okay, so last time we stopped at one of the Grocery stores on the way to WDW...I was unprepared and really wasn't sure what to be purchasing...so this time, heading back with four teenagers, I was wondering what others purchase on their way in, and what they found to be a waste. We are staying at AKL, and I understand we will have a fridge in the rooms....
Thanks!
