How long have you been collecting Disney pins?

I've been collecting the odd pin here and there for years. Started getting the "bug" around Christmas of 2000. That bug has his hooks in pretty deep right now!!!

December 2000 is when I started. When you have done just about everything in WDW, this is the only option left. I actually stayed in the resort (I'm only 35 mins away from WDW BTW) for a few days and I promised myself to keep me from spending too much on stuff.

So much for a budget limit. I first started buying pins that "I liked", then I started to collect Minnie Mouse only, then I started selling LE's on that auction site. Now I have just about every Minnie rack pin from WDW. I'm working on DL and Japan pins now.

I started collecting pins in general in 1989, I got my first Disney pins in 1990 when my Dad brought home a couple from a convention at the DL hotel. Since I didn't get to visit Disney very often, and there really weren't a lot of pins for sale until the last couple years my collection was only about 15 or so before the start of pin trading at WDW. Now...it's much bigger :D

I started collecting them years ago, because they were inexpensive, small peices of art. Thought about quiting when they went up to $4.00! I Thought no one would buy them at that ourrageous price, and the hobby would die out!
