How Many Dis Con 2001

:confused3 How Many Dis Con 2001ers are still out and about? Since getting my job four months after coming home from Dis Con 2001, I try to hop on DisBoards every now and then. I rcvd a Christmas card from Barry (Hey Barry, if you're out there, THANKS!!) It sparked my Dis Con memories. I took all of the DisCon pictures and made a video type CD. I'm going to be in Orlando in July :cool1: for the Georgetown National Institutes Conference, and I'm hopeful to arrive a few days early, or stay a few over. Closer to the time, I'd love to see if anyone else might be there during my stay.

Till then, just wanted to say hi, and see how many others are out there.

Unfortunately, I won't be at WDW in July...hoping to be in Hawaii though. :sunny: I'm going to start homeschooling my kids so who knows, we may still be 'in school' in July. ;) LOL

There are a few of us old timers still around. I'm not certain when we'll next visit WDW as our oldest is starting college on June 19th. That kind of throws a monkeywrench into our usual summer plans. If we're there at the same time, I'd love to get together. The VideoCD that you put together sounds great. I wish that I were so organized.

Great to hear from you. The video CD actually results from a new computer with software that helps make it. I'm not real computer savvy, but this movie maker was simple enough. I just started trying to make them last weekend, so I'm VERY new at it. But it's fun!

I'd love to meet up with you if you are there at the same time. As I recall, I think that we shared reservations at Crystal Palace the night of the MVMCP. :cool1:

DIScon1 was BDC (before digital camera), so my regular photos (if I remembered to take any) are on film and stuck in a photo album somewhere.

Hi Gerri! Barry and I are here! Really, we now live about 45 min away! We absolutely love to meet up with any DISers who come into town! Really, any excuse for a WDW run makes our day. Of course, at times I have had to resort to the "I forgot to take something out for dinner" routine" When Barry then says "Well, what do you want to do?", my response is "They have great food in Epcot" or whatever park I'm looking to visit! So let me know your plans and we can plan to meet.

Welcome back Kim. It is so good to hear from you (and all the others from DIScon 2001). I have bumped into some of the original group who no longer post on the DIS when I attend MouseFest. I guess that going to WDW in December has become a habit with me.

It is so great to run into old friends at WDW. It's my favorite part of my trips.

:wave2: I'm so glad we are reminessing of good times :banana: After about a year of having the Dis Con Board, talking with each other about every day (actually, I'm sure I was on there every day for several hours a day then) I know that I was so excited to meet everyone. When we did, it was like we had known each other for ever, and when I came home and would read people's post, I could actually hear them speaking in their voice. :love:
My memories are so dear to my heart, and I love it that I can still read your posts and hear your voices. YEA!! :cheer2:
Nancy, when I get more confirmed on the travel dates, I'll let you know. For the Conference we'll be staying at the Gaylord Palm. I've heard they have some great food there too. :goodvibes
