Hi everybody! My name is Ashley, I'm new to the DisBoards, but not to Disney. I'm 22 years old, have visited WDW 3 times and worked there as a college program intern.
The first time I went to WDW was in Nov 1996 - that's when I fell in love. I was 13 and went with my parents and 10 year old brother. My family and I returned in 1998 (along with another family) and 2000 (with my aunt), but it was the first visit that created my dream to work at Walt Disney World.
When I was a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I interviewed for WDW's College Program, got waitlisted and was eventually accepted. I turned down the chance at that time due to a problem with depression. I interviewed again in fall of 2003 and was accepted. I lived in Chatham Square and worked Operations-Attractions in Disney-MGM Studios (my favorite park). I worked the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground and the Tank section of Disney-MGM Studios Backlot Tour during Spring 04.
I'm returning to WDW as a guest in exactly 54 days and I couldn't be more excited.
I will also be organizing a family reunion trip for 12 adults and 1 four year old in May 2007.
I look forward to meeting you all on the boards!
