Party of friends--where to stay--your input please!

I'm planning a trip and taking 3 friends with me in August. We are all SAHMs needing a fun get away. Two of us plan to hit a spa. I plan on surprising them with a Segway tour. We hope to eat great food---currently planning on California Grill and Teppanyaki. Hope to hit Adventurers Club if I can get someone to tag along. Hope to check out Jellyrolls, too. Hope to get aome relaxing pool time.

Which resort would you stay at and why?

I didn't think picking a resort would make me this nuts! :badpc:

Once I pick a resort I may be coming back to ask for help on room choices! ;)

Boardwalk or Beach Club! You cant beat the location. Boardwalk has great frosty drinks by the pool and is stumbling distance from Jellyrolls ;) Plus walking distance to Epcot, and tonz of great dining!!!

We love the Beach Club, for all the reasons above. The best is the location, close to Epcot, MGM, and the nightlife at Boardwalk, but a little more quiet and relaxing.

YES to the Boardwalk! Just stumbling distance from Jellyrolls. And the convenience of Epcot is GREAT! I really had no idea how close the walk is - I actually waited for the boat one night before I realized :rotfl: The people walking by me must have wondered what was wrong with my feet (or head)!

Its a tough call.

If I thought I'd spend most of my evenings at DTD then I'd choose one of the DTD resorts POR, POFQ, OKW and SSR all have direct boat service to DTD. SSR is easy walking distance from the Congress Park section.

But it sounds like your trip will be a toss up between EPCOT and MK. I would probably choose between WL and YC/BC (actually VWL & BCV because I'm a DVC member). WL because of its proximity to MK restaurants, the spa at the GF and a choice between relaxing poolside or relaxing lakeside with shade if I want it plus it has a nice walking trail to FW. YC/BC/BCV because of its proximity to EPCOT and because it has a great pool. The problem with the pool at YC/BC is a lot of other people are staying there for the pool so getting a lounge chair at the main pool can be a problem. Possibly not so bad in late August if thats when you are going. The upside is that you are close to EPCOT and the Boardwalk area.

YC/BC (I prefer YC).
The location is perfect. The BW and EPCOT are sooooo close. The pools are perfect and there are a ton of dining options. The bakery on the BW is perfect for the early risers, The Yachtsman Steakhouse is incredible and Jelly Rolls is right out the door. It's so close to EPCOT which is where you will probably spend the majority of your time.
I would pick YC/BC w/o a doubt :cool1:
