We are headed to WDW next weekend and I am wondering if anyone has any insight on how their young toddlers reacted to the loud noises at Disney? The last time we went was when our now 4 year-old was 2 and she was terrified of some of the noises (covered her ears for many of the rides or pitched a fit that she didn't want to go on them :( ) This time, I am a little wiser and will be packing earplugs for her, although loud things don't seem to bother her as much any more.

I am worried about our 1-year-old, though. She is a pretty outgoing toddler and many things don't phase her, but I have noticed that when she is startled by a noise, she will cry. I have been to Disney many many times and never noticed the noise levels until I went there with children. It is funny how we have a different perspective on things once we see them through the eyes of our kids.

Is there anything I can do to help my little one with the noise, aside from covering her ears? She is VERY headstrong and will probably yank my hands off her ears, I am sure. I don't think she will keep earplugs in :confused3

Any thoughts?

:)

Since it is cooler this time of year there how about some child earmuffs. My girls right now are in a phase wearing their bunny earmuffs everywhere. I know they muffle the sound some, because my oldest DD 4 keeps asking for music to be turned up louder when she has them on. I bought theirs at Old Navy.

We had to leave for all fire works for our kids. Go figure both husband and I love them but all 3 of our children do not.

The earmuffs are a great idea for my older daughter but the little one is sure to yank them off :p She is a little pistol. I have a feeling we are just going to have to grin and bear it.
