Does anyone know anything about getting married at Disney's Vero Beach Resort? I have not seen anything on this but am interested in finding out if this is possible. I have requested info on Disney Weddings so there may be info included but I just wanted to get your guys' take on it while I wait for the info to arrive.
Thanks! :lovestruc

My fiance and I visited Disney's Vero Beach Resort and considered tying the knot there! They gave us a tour, the ceremony would take place in the yard right behind the resort overlooking the ocean, but they do not do weddings on the beach. It is a beautiful setting. It was very quiet and private when we visited last January. They gave us a wedding packet with menus, costs, etc similar to the one from the Wedding pavillion. I wish I had the contact info for you but I'm sure you can call the resort and they will put you in touch with the wedding planner. :)

They do have weddings. My mom and I were there last May and watched a wedding from our balcony. It was a beautiful setting and happened at sundown. The photos must have been breathtaking.

It's not listed on the Disney wedding site because it's not technically affiliated with Disney, it's a private resort, just like the Disney resort at Hilton Head in SC.

Thanks so much for all of the info. This makes me so excited!!! I really want to get married at Disney but if there are minimum $ amounts that have to be met (according to their website) I just don't think it will be possible in the next year or so. I have already requested the Disney info and I will be calling Vero Beach first thing tomorrow to have them send me info. Maybe because Vero Beach is not an actual Disney resort, it will be like getting married at any other site with no minimum fees. I can't believe I am planning MY wedding!!! LOL :)

I wouldnt go that far..Disney Vero Beach Resort is very much a Disney resort. It is a Disney Vacation Club Resort like Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, and Hilton Head Island Resort. Complete with hidden Mickey's in the trees. They even have a character breakfast with Goofy and Max there.
There is a beautiful green grassy area (golf course manicured) that is used for daily activities like croquet and bocce ball. The beach at Vero is too unpredictable to have a wedding on it. The hurrican erosion has reduced it to very little beach.

I'm planning on trying to spend the last two days of my Honeymoon at Vero Beach. I just have to figure out the best way to get from WDW to Vero and then from Vero back to the airport.

For our trip we rented a car for that part of the vacation, and in fact picked out a convertable. It was really fun to take a relaxing drive down A1A from Titusville (near the Space Center) to Vero. We used the car almost daily to get to different sites. If you are doing part of the trip at WDW you might check into picking up the car on the property at the Car Care Center or at the Dolphin, then return it there and take Magical Express back to the airport. The other option would be take Magical Express back to the airport, then pick up your car, head down the Bee Line to the coast and down to Vero from there. That is not the fastest way to drive, but the scenery was a lot of fun. I believe we took I95 for the "faster" trip, coming from Vero back to WDW...

Does anyone have the phone number or an email address to contact the Vero Beach resort for wedding prices and information? Or does anyone have any prices they could share?
Thanks!:bride:

I got married there in June, in the morning. It was great! We had a breakfast reception in the Green Cabin Room overlooking the ocean. Steel drum player, fantastic florist, and our photographer was good too. Our guest list was only 31 or so but it was perfect for us.
