MVMCP
On our first morning, while in the food court having breakfast at the Pop Century, I surprised everyone by telling them that tonight we are going to MVMCP and before that we would be having dinner at the Crystal Palace. I can’t believe that I had managed to keep it a secret for so long (I bought the tickets in the Summer).

So we entered about 3.30pm (on our Annual Passes), we had a wander around and went to see Mickey’s Philharmagic, unfortunately it was had been drizzling on and off that afternoon and it was getting a little cool, but that was the only downer. We checked in at the Crystal Palace for our 5.10pm reservation and within 10 minutes we were at our table. We had only been to the CP once before and that was for breakfast, so we weren’t too sure if we’d enjoy it. Well the food was lovely, I had fruit to start with, then I had hand carved turkey with mash and veggies and to finish off I tried about 4 or 5 different desserts which were delicious, one was even made with Bailey’s !! Paul and the girls ate well too.

We saw all the characters, Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eyeore and had photos with them.

It appeared that we were one of the last families to be seated as we were not rushed at all and by 6.45pm the place was empty. We then went off to get our wristbands (in the Rose Garden) and then we went to have our photo taken in Tomorrowland (which had arrived home before us). I didn’t think that the Magic Kingdom was that busy (except during the parade), we headed over to Frontierland and had some cocoa and cookies (I didn’t have any room for one – I wonder why ??!!) and we saw Woody and Bullseye and we ran into Jessie too. We rode Big Thunder Mountain, we saw Chip & Dale, rode Stitch’s Great Escape, saw some of the parade and watched the holiday Wishes which was beautiful, unfortunately we were absolutely shattered and had to leave early, but despite the drizzle we’d had a great time
Other Magic Kingdom
When we went to Magic Kingdom we would get the resort bus so we would be there for opening, it was amazing how much you could get done by midday before it got too busy. We would arrive and head straight to Buzz Lightyear (which I only won on once), then on to Stitch’s Great Escape, then brekkie of danishes/cookies/coissants & orange juice. We did Pirates of the Caribbean and in the shop you could get some fab Captain Jack Sparrow T-shirts, which me and the girls did get for Christmas. We did Aladdin’s Magic Carpets, Big Thunder Mountain and thankfully we only once had to endure It’s a Small World (mind you I wish I was there now riding on it, than here) and we also saw Mickey’s Philharmagic a few times. For lunch we had ½ a chicken with mash & veggies or we’d have good old chicken strips with that lovely honey dijon sauce (mmmm)
We still love to go character hunting, and I’m pleased that the girls don’t bother with autograph’s anymore but it’s still nice to see the characters especially Stitch and Goofy. I think we saw Stitch everywhere but we’d still line up for a photo.
