When it rains at the parks

If you have an infant let's say around a year old do you still take them to the parks when it rains? It rained most of our trip Dec. 7-11 and my DH didn't want to take the baby out.

Yes we did. We got a rain cover for the stroller and just kept on going.

Some of our best days in the parks have been rainy days.....it keeps some people away, so the crowds thin out a bit, and many of the Disney attractions are actually indoors anyway.....some of the outdoor attractions continue to run in the rain as well if there's no lightening.

I'm not sure I'd be anxious to take a new born around the parks on a rainy day, but one year olds are pretty hardy little people!

I just put a rain poncho over the stroller and keep going. We are from Seattle so rain doesn't stop us from doing anything!

We too are from Washington so we are use to the rain! We just threw a poncho over the stroller and kept going. My only recommendation is to keep it covered if you're going on a ride. We forgot to cover it and while on the ride the stroller was moved from a covered area to out in the open. Needless to say, everything was soaked! On our next trip DD will be spending a bunch of time in the backpack (1st trip was in the front pack and stroller) and we're going to up the rainhood on it. Although that doesn't stop the rain from getting in on the sides.

Just keep on going! I wouldn't spend that money to stay in the room. There is always something you can do to keep the baby dry.

Yes, we took the baby out in the rain. We covered his stroller with ponchos, having forgotten the rain cover for it, and just went. We just covered him with a baby blanket when getting him in and out of the stroller. He stayed very dry.........and he hated getting wet at that time, so he would've let us know if he had been!
