Booking MYW dining/AP-any experts?

I'm booking a trip soon for 4 adults, including me :sunny: I will be booking MYW with dining. I realize I won't get AP rate and that I will be paying basic rack rates :guilty: Oh well....

In order to get MYW with dining for all of us, I will need to book 4 one day MYW tickets. (*but* I have an AP.) So, do I upgrade the 3 other tickets to a five day MYW when I arrive at check in? Can it be done before arrival?

And most importantly, how does that price work? Will the total cost of the 3 adult MYWs that I upgrade to five day MYWs be the same as 3 five day MYW tickets? Is the cost for an upgrade the difference in price between a 1 day and a 5 day? Does that make sense? :earboy2: I can't quite word my question correctly in my mind! Hopefully someone will have an answer! :goodvibes

Hmmm....now im curious. I remember reading that the number of nights you stay had to match the number of days for dining, and that everyone in your room had to be on the same plan, but I don't recall reading that everyone had to have the same length of ticket? I wonder if you could book it ahead of time with a one day ticket for you, and get the other 3 tickets for the additional days? :confused3

All the tickets need to be booked for the same number of days. You can upgrade at any park guest services. You will pay the difference in the 1 day ticket to the gate price for the 5 day.

Rootskate: Yes, AP holders can book MYW with dining--but you don't get a room discount. You book your room and tickets for your party using MYW packages. For me, I will buy all of us a one day MYW with dining for our 5 nights. Then when we get there, I'll "upgrade" their tickets to 5 days and I'll use my AP. I'll have a one day MYW leftover, so to speak, and as long as I don't activate it, it shouldn't expire. :wizard:
