Kelly, we all have our " off days" , and your tone of the message, wasnt the usual you - The one we have all got to know and love.

I appreciate that you have a lot on your mind at the moment, and I'm sure thats making you feel more vunerable (sp?) and low.

As for being "unprepared".... well you had a great reason........... you were sorting your wedding and honeymoon out.! :thumbsup2

I think the strenght of our thread is shown in messages like these, as it prooves we have all formed a strong bond, that we feel comfortable enough with each other to say whats on our mind, and discuss it calmly. Many other threads might just have " general conversation" on. If any of us can be of any help while you are having a rough time, please please ask. I'm sure we can provide some support.

Lets draw a line under this now and move forward. :grouphug:

PS I have PMed my address to you.

Hi everyone,

I have had computer issues at work. They rebuilt my computer (again!) and then I couldn't remember my password so that I could post. I finally got it sorted out.
Elouise does look so sweet in the pic Linda! I am glad you shared with us. Are you and Wayne still enjoying the Nintendo?
Our weather has been fairly warm for December. No more snow so far. I went to visit my parents a couple of weekends ago and they had pictures of the snow and they had gotten a lot more than I did. Their dog looked a bit upset in the photo, he doesn't seem to like the snow much!
Jane, I hope to hear all about Tylers visit!

Linda we got a Wii for Christmas too! Isn't it a blast. I highly recommend the game Xcite Truck for it. We've been playing it every night and it's so fun. Unfortunately only Jake has tried the boxing. We both did bowling and tennis though. We don't have the nunchuck or whatever its called for my remote yet.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

Elouise is getting so good on the bowling she is getting many strikes!
We got Happy feet for the WII, this is agood game for Elouise, I havent had a go yet, no time, as im off to work, yuck!

Happy new year to you all. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Sadly Elouises teeth has gone a grey colour, ( i cried my eyes out in bed on my own) she's not that bothered, but after the new year I will make an appointment to see the dentist. Wayne thinks they wont do anything as its a milk tooth, but I just want to see what they say. At least its not loose.

Linda yes it's a driving game. I'm getting pretty good at it and have even beat Jake a few times haha!

So far that is the only game we have but we preordered Wii Play which is going to be similar to Wii sports with a variety of different games but it also comes with another Wiimote so it was a good deal.

I'm good at bowling while Jacob is terrible at it. I'm terrible at the tennis though.

I'm sorry to hear about Elouises tooth. I bet it will be ok though.

Jules I never did see a doctor. Whatever was wrong with me seems to have gone away now for the most part. I hope it stays that way. How are you doing...weren't you searching out a new job? Are you and Ian planning yet for next year's trip?

we never did get any snow for Christmas...in fact we haven't had any snow yet :( makes me sad. I LOVE snow.

Hi Everyone - Happy New Year to you all.
Linda I am sorry to hear about Ellies tooth, I'm sure the dentist will set your mind at rest.
Kelly I am glad to hear that you are feeling better, I think we all go through times when we are feeling a little down and under the weather it is always nice when that feeling goes away. I loved the first day of your trip report.
I have been busy job hunting but nothing so far, working in manufacturing environment it tends to go a bit quiet around Christmas so hopefully the New Year will bring something exciting, nothing booked for next year as yet, but I am sure we will start booking flights etc soon.
We just got back from Dublin yesterday, we went for New Year with our friends, we had a great time but spent a fortune !!
I hope you are all keeping well and Happy New Year again x

Tyler flew back to Guam early this morning and I am now back at work.:sad1:

How exciting to have the new wii I am not much for video games but I think the way these new games get you up and moving is terriffic. Linda I would not be suprised if you get in that 0 :goodvibes I am sorry that Elouises tooth went grey. I hope the dentist has some good comforting words for you. I am sure that her adult teeth will be fine but it is always best to get it checked.

Glad you are feeling better Kelly.

Don't quite understand all this snow talk :confused3 jk It was pretty warm here over the holiday. Hardly seemed like Christmas. Last year we went to Michigan to see the snow.

I would love to visit Dublin Jules. Do you have pictures to share? How was the weather there?

Sue,

I just looked back and saw I never answered your question. Tyler is staying in Guam until Nov/Dec of this year. He extended his stay in hopes of getting the Radiology school he wants next. It was not available in May and if He started a new tour of duty somewhere else he would not be elligable to try again for two more years.

Lindy Loo
01-10-2007, 01:54 PM
I was just saying to Wayne this morning, how I miss "talking to you all.

Sadly Elouises teeth has been damaged at the nerve and has gone grey! ( I am really sad about this), but shes not bothered. I have a dentist appointment next week, for the dentist to have a look at it. People at work say they wont do anything, *** its a milk tooth, but I still want to see. Call me vain, but IF I can have it whitened, I will.:)

Elouise has started Kick boxig now, will post a picture of her in her "Tae kwon do " suit soon................. very funny to watch, but good for her confidence ( not that she needs any more) and great for teaching her about strangers, and how to react if they try and grab you. My ears are deaf, from the " Stranger stand back" she keeps yelling!!!!

I am busy taking photos tonight, as E bay has a 10p listing day tomorrow and I need to clear out her wardrobe and get some money!! Her kick boxing suit was £35!!!!!! good thing Santa's rich!:rotfl:

Take care all........................... xxxxx

Jane, thanks for explaining about Tyler. I think the radiology training is a good idea. I am glad he knows what he wants to do. Alie emailed me and I was so happy to hear from her! Such a sweetie.princess:

Jules, I watched a television show about North Wales this weekend. I know you live in South Wales but I figured it has some similarities. Very pretty. I didn't realize how many castles are there. I was excited to see a street with lots of Welsh flags with the dragon that I recognized.

Linda, We look forward to pictured of Ellie in her new uniform. That sounds so cute her yelling "Stand back stranger!":rotfl:

Hi everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I've been on.

I feel like i'm finally starting to get back to my old self after the sadness of December and all the changes going on in my life that I've had to get used to in the past few months.

Jacob and I enjoyed a small trip to the indoor waterpark resort a little north from here and had a great time and plan to return again.

Our plans have changed as far as our cruise we booked for this coming October. We are going to change the dates to next year for now.

My brother is getting married in Jamaica next January and we wouldn't miss it but we just can't afford 2 big vacations within one year while trying to save for a house or possibly buy one by then. So we're going to do a couple small trips up to that resort we were just at to have some fun until next year.

I am excited about the Jamaica trip though as it will be so incredible to go with some of my family (my brothers are much older than me so we never took a family vacation) Unfortunately not all of them will be coming and my parents will not fly but possibly some other family members will come and it will be nice as Jacob and I normally travel alone.

I'm loving the cold weather and snow - finally!

oh I almost forgot, we also finally got our professional wedding pictures back. I think they're great. Here are some of my favorites

Kelly,
Loved the photos, Thanks for sharing. You looked a little nervous in the getting ready shots but radiant in the wedding shots. I loved all the special little touches. The girls in the fairy wings were especially cute. I am sorry that you had to cancel the honeymoon cruise but sounds like you'll have a wonderful vacation in Jamaica. Maybe since your parents wont fly, they could consider a cruise that would take them to Jamaica. Of course your brother may have to select a date that put the ship in port. I will tell Alie to look at your photos when I get home. I know that she will want to see them.

You must have posted right as I hit the reply button. I just saw your post.

I don't know anything about BIG news as I spend most of my time on the Cruise Critics board now since my next cruise is on Royal Caribbean. Just made my final payment and we sail in just 86 days. I am so excited as I remember how fast those last 90 days will go.

Glad your having so much fun planning your next cruise. The fact that you are hooking up with DISsers again shows that it must have been a positive experiance the first time. My next cruise is with inlaws so I know that we will have a fun group at our table.

It made my day to see I had an email from the DIS today. Thanks for dropping in. Good to hear from everyone.

Hi Everyone, great today when I saw that everyone had posted and that we were back on page 1 where we belong.
Kelly the photos are stunning, I must ask what are you and Jake doing when you seem to be pouring something into the long glasses - what is that ? The photos are great and everyone looks so lovely, the little fairy wings are great. Sorry to hear that you won't be cruising this year, but Jamaica with your family is too good to miss, where abouts in Jamaica we went to Ocho Rios.
Not long for you now Jane, you must be so excited, I am sure that you and hubby will have a great time, the time will fly by until you go.
Sue lovely to hear from you, and thanks again for our great postcards.
Linda how are you doing, the big news was a bit of a let down, a Toy Story ride at MGM, well there you go ! At least it is something new at MGM, I think it was getting a bit tired.
Things are good with us, I had a job interview last week, which I think went positively, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that things will happen. Ian is fine. We have had an exciting week, last week I made our reservation for our first stint at the Saratoga 14th to 19th December, we then move to the DoubleTree at Universal for three nights, it is years since we have done the Universal Parks so we are going to spend some time there, also looking forward to Margaritas at CityWalk. We then go back to Saratoga 22nd December to 4th January, I booked our flights on Wednesday so now it all seems real. I have never seen Ian so excited, it has been his dream to go for Christmas, he normally leaves everything to me, but this year, it is like where will we have Christmas dinner, where will we go for New Years Eve. He wants a Christmas tree and everything, so I am humouring him as much as I can.
It is lovely to hear from you all and I hope we can stay in touch. Take Care All xxx

Hi again, thanks everyone for the compliments on the photos. I was very happy with how they turned out. I was a bit nervous until we got them because the day goes so fast and is such a blur that I could barely remember her taking half of them and I worried she didn't get enough lol.

We're going to the Sunset Beach Resort & Spa in Montego Bay for my brother's wedding. It looks very nice and one of his friends just returned from there with rave reviews and gorgeous pictures. I'll be missing Disney a lot by next year I'm sure but one should venture out to other travel destinations...I I guess.....;)

Jules the things we are pooring in the photos is sand. Instead of the usual unity candle that most people do (in the US anyway) we decided to do a sand ceremony, we used a photo frame with multiple panes of glass so we could poor the sand behind a photo of us and display it in our home after the wedding. The ceremony goes something like this... Jacob had black sand, I had white, and we poor them together into one container and just like the grains of sand can never again be seperated neither can our lives/hearts etc.

And it sounds like you and Ian are going to have a blast on Christmas trip to Disney. That would be so fun. Jacob always says we should go for the holidays but that time of year is the busiest for my work. I'd love to do it though.

Jane you're so lucky to have your next trip so close! You'll have to let us know how it compares.

I didn't even know there was to be big news haha. A toy story ride sounds fun.

Did anyone else see the first family to stay in Cinderella's castle. it was on Good Morning America the other day. Lucky ducks. It looks so incredible.

That should be fantastic Linda, A friend of mine was on the Freedom the same week we were on the Wonder. She said it was fabulous. She was on her honeymoon too. The ports she visited were about the same as the ones I am visiting in April but in reverse. I am going to Labadee, Ocho Rio, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Should be good timing too since Liberty will replace Freedom as the newest ship but Freedom will still be pretty darn new. Will you still be looking at sometime in the Fall?

I hang out on cruise critic all the time. I am usually on the Roll Call board for my sailing (April 22) or the Royal Caribbean International board. I peak in on some others too. If you spot me over there say Hi, I am CaptJaneWay.

you may all have noticed that I now have tags ! They are running a weekly thread on the UK Community Board called "Ask Me" anything, two weeks ago I got the short straw and it was Ask Saratoga Girl Anything, it was a brilliant week, we had such a luagh, I have some good friends over there, and they teased me badly. I couldnt keep up with the, I was so busy answering questions that I neglected Ian and housework. As a result of all my hardwork I ended up with my tags, so it was worth it !

Hi Jules!!! I somehow missed your previous post where you asked me how I am doing. I am pretty good. I am getting busy at work (which is a good thing) and the weather is really nice now. My mood improves a lot when the trees start getting green and flowers are starting to bloom.
I am glad to hear you and Ian are doing well. I think about you and wish I could see what life is like in Wales!
What kind of questions did they ask you when it was your turn to "ask anything?" Hugs:hug:

Hi Sue

Glad to hear that you are doing ok, I am a much happier person in the Spring / Summer too, I think it makes you feel much better.
You really wouldn't want to know some of the questions I was asked. If you go to the UK community board, you should be able to find the thread. it does get a little shocking though so be warned !!

Oh! ok. I am a bit slow and didn't realize that you were talking about a dis-board.
You are still looking for a new job? I will be sending you plenty of pixie dust that you find just the job that you will love!::yes:: :tink:
Are you planning a stay at Saratoga Springs soon?

I just arrived at work. I have tons of jobs to do at my desk but it had been slow so I am acually glad that there is plenty to keep me busy. I better get started!

Have a great weekend!:wave2:

Hi everyone!
Just thought I would pop in and say "hello" and that Jane is going on a cruise on Sunday! She is very excited. It is a 7 night Western but is not Disney. She will be leaving from port Canaveral and will probably see The Magic leave along with her.
She will be stopping at Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Jamaica and the cruise lines island in Bahamas.
She said that should would keep notes and take lots of photos so I am hopeing we will see a nice trip report.
She is cruising with her DH Ron and also some of Rons relatives.

Hope you are enjoying the spring weather!

Hi Linda,

I didn't notice that you had posted until today!
That is so great that you have so much fun to look forward to. I still am wanting to read a trip report from you when you get back after your Oct 2007 cruise. I did the western in 2004 and would love to relive it thru hearing about your adventures.
I must admit that I have been "lurking" on your current cruise thread. It is nice to still be able to hear about what is going on with your family and seeing an occasional photo.
Jane (MJ) had a really nice time on her cruise she took a couple of weeks ago. I think she is planning another for next year. They loved the ship. I think it was the Mariner of the Seas?? It is the ship that sits right in front of the Wonder (or Magic) at Port Canaveral. Jane said that the food was so good and she and her group would have verandah parties that were great. She hasn't sent me any photos yet but I am still hoping to get some. She also said that people on the cruise she just took didn't post much.
Well, it was lovely to hear from you.
Give Elouise a hug for me! :cutie:

My DS got married on Oct. 14th he is on his honeymoon now.:cloud9:

It was so cool to hear from you. I tried to find this thread a few weeks ago to see if anyone was here but I could not find it. Then this morning I get an email from the dis that says someone has replied to a thread....

Yea!:dance3: :yay: :dance3:

So I guess Linda is here in Florida and cruising this weekend. How exciting. Maybe I will go wave goodbye to her ship.

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to a holiday soon.
