We are going Feb 10, 2006 through the 17th. Has anyone done the movie at the campfire. My daughter is 3 and turning 4 on our trip and I thought this would be fun to do. Also, do you know where I can find out what movies are showing while we will be there. Thanks Tracy ::MinnieMo

I've never actually been to the campfire program/movie, but hear it's wonderful and we plan to go next fall, when we're staying right at Fort Wilderness. Chip and Dale put in an appearance and there's marshmallow toasting and a sing-a-long before the movie. Kids love it.

If you go to the Camping forum here on the DIS boards (just below this one) there is always a "sticky" at the top with a list of the movies for that month.

Have a great time!

My kids always enjoyed the campfire and movie. We went last Sept and the 2 remaining boys at home (8 and 12) still enjoyed it!

We went many times when we stayed at Fort Wilderness our last trip. The movie list is usually posted on the first day of the month on the camping board. It is a great time, and for us a great way to wind down after a busy day. If you can, bring along some glow sticks - we did and were asked every time on where we bought them. You can get the expensive glow in the dark/neon stuff in the parks, but I just cleaned out the local dollar store before we left and had enough for most nights! You can come for the singalong at 7, and stay as late or as little as you wish. A nice time!

We have also brought our own marshmallows for the roast. Saved a few pennies!

Can anyone do the sing a long and movie or do you have to be an on site guest?

You don't have to be an onsite guest. All you need to do is park at the front of Fort Wilderness and catch the bus in. You could probably ask the bus drivers which bus will get you closer to the campfire / movie.
