I am sorry, but I didn't mean for this to become a debate. I just made it with the intention of a fun little thread for the people who don't think this should rug should be in VMK. It is cute, it's just, I feel, that it is telling little kids that killing a poor, incicent animal, just so it can be used to stand on, is ok. I agree, it would look great in some rooms. But that is just the way that I feel.

PPL It's a FAUX like Popstar said....LoL i had to laugh at that one since i saw The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody the other night and that was on there.... but i'm voting cute but you all can do what you want because theres not enough of you to boot it away....

We should vote yes..one more item in vmk for us..they did not make the rug for nothing you never know they might make it go for sale..some other time..like the newsletter says they will make the bear hibernate..it wont hibernate forever :P

Don't let this virtual issue make any rifts on the DIS boards. We all have our opinion. We have to think about the other side as well. I believe that people should have the right to buy it or not. That's why i vote yes. BOOT people say it promotes the killing of bears. It makes sense. Killing bears is terrible. If this was a real life debate i would choose never to have a real bear rug in my house. But this is a game.

Think about this real carefully: If BOOT people think we should get rid of bears because it promotes the killing and cruelty to bears then shouldn't we also get rid of dance inferno magic? Dancing inferno promotes the lighting of one's pants and dancing in fire! What about the tiki's? Tiki's promote the chopping of trees which kill thousands of animals in the rainforest! Let's also take away the poster of the bird with a bulls-eye on it's side because that promotes the killing of birds! Why aren't these being taken off VMK shelves?! Because it is and online game for kids! Kids only learn to have fun in this game! If you don't want to promote items that you feel are destructive to society then you should not buy them. But other people might want this for their own reason.

Even if there are more CUTE voters and the item is released, you BOOT people have not lost. You can then choose not to buy it, not to enter anothers room with it or whatever you feel. I still love ALL of you DISers! And your opinions rock my socks! :cool1:

You don't have to buy the rug if you don't want to. All my friends are voting yes let it stay, and so are a lot of others. If you don't like it, just don't buy it. It's that simple.

To reply to Kaitykatz7, i think the ppl should vote however they want to. If they want no the should be able to vote no. The ppl who voted yes got to put their say in it, why can't we put our say in it and vote no?? I just don't think it is right to tell ppl how to think.

Oh, of course. That is terrible and if you ever thought i was trying to do that plz forgive me. Making someone think what you want them to is TOTALLY wrong. That is not what me or most of my CUTE friends are doing. We could tell you a hundred times that it's virtual and it's not hurting anything and you could still vote no! It's totally you and that's awesome! What I'm trying to do is to give evidence that supports my side of the debate. Just so that you know and understand where I'm coming from so people don't post things at me like "You like to kill bears!"

I am very sorry but is sad the day when people think that a virtual bear rug promotes bear killing. Btw, i would love to have pooh mounted on my wall. I personally don't like the look of it, but it is not fair to the people who do want it. No stop being people and get over it.

other things to get rid of
Everything pirate=promotes theft
tornado magic=promotes the chasing of tornadoes
hippo rug= cutting off heads of hippos and leave them floating in pools of water
The giant squid= it has no right to be locked up like that, staring at us all the time
Fireworks magic= playing with FW are bad
Inferno= playing with fire is bad

Btw.. This is all in fun and as was mentioned in previous posts just buying a virtual bear rug does not make peeps a fan of having a real bear skin laying on their hearth. I happened to vote boot, but not to make a statement, just to be different.
(Well, that and fear of others entertaining thoughts of tiger rugs. ) :rotfl2:
