Hi Everyone:

First time to the board. I was referred by another craft board. I am traveling with my 6y/o son and MIL on 1/5-1/9. My MIL is doing the 1/2 and Full Marathon that weekend. So my son and I will have some Disney bonding time on Fri, Sat and Sun. I've never been and we have no plans as of yet, so I need quick help. A quick review at another board showed that it seems like Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom would be the best ones to take ds.

Can you give me any links, ideas or what not to plan my three days. I know that on Friday, the a.m. will be used up picking up marathon things with MIL, and Sat I will have to return to Epcot at sometime to pick her up in the noon hour. That's all I have planned for now.

Ideas suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated. (Yes we have accomodations off site). Thanks!

Julie

Hi and welcome to the Dis!

Be sure to check out the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies (http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2) board. Maybe try doing some searches for 3 day itineraries so you get to see the best of the best while you're there. MK for sure for your DS. It truly is magical. You'll just want to make sure you're there on the least crowded days.

Other than that, welcome to the Dis and I hope to see you around. :wave2:

Touring mike has a sample plan for AK...http://www.touringplans.com/ak_sample.html
and also for MK (for girls...but you could make changes).

The thing I would do is go to the disney web site...do previews of the rides, see what your son is intrested in...and make a list of must do's, and then optional(or as time allows) items. I would not press on, no one has any fun- I would gave a good time in a park, go back to room for lunch and swim, and then back to a park for fireworks and a few more rides. Hint, when parades are on, rides will be lighter, but you will not be able to cross Main Street to get to the other side, so plan accordingly.

You should not worry about planning too much at this point.
