::MickeyMo Are the rooms at the Hotel Cheyenne, DLP all the same size/standard? We are booked to stay there (4 nights in March 2006) - 2 adults and 2 children, one of whom is a toddler in a cot. Liked the idea of the western theming at this hotel.

Brochure says room has a double bed and a set of bunk beds. I have also requested a cot for our toddler, but is that going to make the room seem very cramped. Do you get a larger room if you have a cot? I have stayed at the Santa Fe Hotel at DLP before, room there had 2 double beds which was fine. Can you get a room with 2 double beds at Cheyenne or do they all come with bunk beds? Have heard rooms at Cheyenne are smaller than those at Santa Fe is this correct?

Appreciate any opinions of the Hotel Cheyenne and any tips for our trip. Is the weather in March at DLP likely to be very cold, how cold? Also are some attractions likely to be closed since it isn't high season? Went there in October once and It's A Small World was closed for repairs, which was disappointing since it is one of our favourites. How do you find out in advance what's open, what shows, parades are on etc?

Thanks for any help and information ::MinnieMo

Welcome to DIS!

We've stayed in both the Santa Fe and the Cheyenne - rooms were similar size in both. We've had three combinations of rooms in Cheyenne:

Double Bed and Bunk Beds
Double Bed and cot
Double Bed

If you were to add a cot to the room with Double Bed and bunk beds then yes it would be quite cramped.

For closed attractions it's best to keep an eye on this page: http://www.dlp.info/HintsInfos/ClosedAtts.htm

For shows and parades this page is great: http://www.seasons.chrismedia.co.uk/

::MickeyMo dlpSteve, Thanks for the info.

Do you know if you can get a room with just two double beds at the Cheyenne? (If we could then we could do without the cot and the bunk beds). Thanks for your help. ::MinnieMo

I wouldn't know to be honest - but knowing the size of the rooms I'm not sure two double beds would fit and still allow you to walk between them! There may be bigger rooms for this purpose - hopefully someone else on the board can shed some light.

Hi and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We have stayed in Cheyenne with 2 children and and infant in the cot.
It is reasonably cramped but we did not find it a big deal.
AFAIK I think all rooms are double plus bunkbed.

Cyrano, I see you are located in Fraserburgh. That is where my husband's side of the family came from. Some from Fraserburgh itself and others from Iverallochy nearby (hope l've spelt it correctly).

I move up here a number of years ago from Glasgow. Inverallochy and Cairnbulg are two villages separated by a road which is 5 mile or so along the coast from Fraserburgh (or the Broch as it is known locally).
