Thought it was very poor this Christmas and generally watched movies on SKY or DVDs.

I understand people who like soap's, my wife included, but think that putting them on for an hour on xmas day is a bit much - I mean they are not exactly cheerful programmes generally.
Also ITV having Coronation Street virtually all evening on Boxing Day was quite unbelievable, there were 2 good films on later but didn't start till midnight and 2am the following morning.

It just goes to show that there is a genuine lack of good quality TV, the Only Fools And Horses spin-off 'Green Green Grass' on at peak time on BBC1 just isn't (in my opinion) funny at all.
I love movies and as other people have said I prefer to stick to my DVDs unless anything else is on.

Come back Del Boy and Rodney....

I don't think we watched much at all. Sadly missed Dr Who as TV is forbidden in my house on Xmas Day, but will hopefully watch it when it's repeated.

The TV has been monopolized with new DVDs and Gamecube games received for Xmas!

 Don't know how that would go down in our house?? The title of a popular Kaiser Chiefs song comes to mind though ;)

Whilst the TV has been genuinely very dull this Christmas, I have to say that Doctor Who was a highlight along with Little Britain. At least Neighbours is back on now though :teeth:

Now, would this be "Every Day I Love you Less & Less" or my original thought "I predict a Riot" :rotfl: :rotfl:

ETA It is great and means we all talk to each other instead of collapsing in a stupor in front of the TV (which I see has had nothing worth watching this Xmas anyway LOL)

We watched Snow Dogs for the first time yesterday too :) I have a colleague at work who raves about it, admittedly it's his children that love it, but I found it very enjoyable :teeth:

Just seemed too busy and missed everything and too tired the rest of the time! :confused3 All to do with lots of little grandchildren. :) Hope to catch Dr. Who on repeat though as that was the one thing I really wanted to see.

Doctor Who was the highlight of my Christmas telly. It was utterly fantastic.

I had a couple of disappointments, though, when Bedknobs and Broomsticks wasn't nearly as good as I remembered (except the football/soccer match, which is an undying classic), as well as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! I think it's because I had watched Mary Poppins the day before, and nothing can top that. It was bit of a comedown, lol.

Must be me, I didn't think Dr.Who was that great - I didn't actually see much of the recent series so maybe I just need to catch up a bit.

Whilst watching the xmas show I was beginning to wonder whether the Doctor was actually going to wake up and say something....it was almost like they tried to fit the whole story into an hour episode and the ending was just ridiculous.
One minute the Aliens were invading then the Doctor finally wakes up and within a minute or two it's all over.
