Orlando airport - where can husband pick us up?

How far in to the just arrived planes can people get? My MIL and husband will be picking up my son and I after we fly from MA to FL. Where can they pick us up? We wont have any checked in bags so we dont need to go to baggage pickup. Can they still take the tram to us? Can they be waiting as soon as we get off the plane?

Since security is before you get on the tram when entering the terminal, they will not be allowed that far to get to the gates. I would suggest somewhere on the main floor, maybe by the Disney Store or someplace else you are both familiar with.

There are Disney stores in the terminal sub-hubs too, that is way inside secure areas. Be sure to tell your party to get to the store that is in the main terminal.

Another nice place to meet people, particulary during the holiday season, is the large lobby under the Hyatt Hotel. One end has a big red neon A and the other end has a big green neon B. There is a huge beautiful Christmas tree in the middle of that room during the holiday season.
