Has anyone gone camping at Disney and rented a cabin? I saw that they are running a great rate for the cabin for florida residents and was thinking of trying it out. After researching a little, I seen that there is still mousekeeping and that the cabins are pretty well stocked (i.e. plates, silverware).
Any info would be greatly apprecitated!!
Thank you!! Missy :earsboy:

We just stayed in the Cabins about 2 months ago and LOVED them. We are DVC members so we are used to the Villas at the other properties, hubby kept commenting that he enjoyed the cabin more (with the exception of the Jacuzzi tub that the DVC Villas offer...the cabins do not).
The cabins sleep 6, with a bedroom that has a double bed as well as bunk beds and also a Murphy bed in the living room that pulls out to another Double (?) bed. The kitchen full stocked as far as utensils, pots, pans, etc. There is a full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, sink. You have a dining table in the cabin as well as a picnic table outside on the porch. There is parking right at the cabin for one vehicle and the bus stops for Disney transportation are very accesible. You do get daily housekeeping service in the cabins, just like a regular hotel as well.
We are not very "outdoorsy" but we love the atmosphere. It is very quite and peaceful. We loved coming back from the hustle and bustle of Disney to relax. Fort Wilderness is one of my favorite places on property for this reason.
Our family gives the FW cabins 2 thumbs up and would book them in a heartbeat for future vacations :)
