Hard Rock Package Question

I got a package quote that seems a bit high and includes length of stay passes, fotl access and a meal somewhere. Our main reason for the Hard Rock is for FOTL access. Do we need a package or is that available to anyone staying there whether or not our tickets were purchased separately or as part of a package. In short, can we purchase room only and get FOTL??? If yes, I don't really care about the meal voucher if it's less expensive to book room only and tickets separately.

FOTL is available to anyone staying in an onsite resort. Yes, you can get a room only ressie and still have FOTL. It makes me angry when FOTL is stated as being a "special" part of a package".We never buy packages as you can save money buying the tickets separately. If you have AAA you can save a of money on the room. We are saving about 50.00/ night. APH sometimes saves even more-enough to cover the 179.00 that an APH costs!
It's like when you read about WDW and ads read "includes fast pass access".
