We're stopping at New York Hotel in March for 5 nights. Having read that we can charge most things to our room within the park, I just wondered does this cover 'everything' like a drink for example whilst out and about or will we be best to take a small amount of cash for the little every day purchases other than meals & goods ?

Thanks in advance
Natx

Nat, you'll be given a id which you can use to charge just about everything to and then pay one amount when you leave.
Not sure if you it can be used on the food carts so a little bit of money would not go amiss :)

There are cash machines there if you run short of cash.

I'd forgotten about that Steve, good point.
There are ATM's at the Village, train station and Discovery Arcade.

Firstly, dont confuse the ATMs with the ticket machines (train station and village). While we were there in October, none of the Brits could use use their bank cards (Visa) with the ATM machines.

Phew, thank goodness the ones I went to were ATM's :)

Didnt word that very well ... but we saw quite a few people getting frustrated at trying to work out how to get cash out of a ticket machine. :rotfl:

The ATMs around DLRP werent processing any UK bank cards, all appeared ok but at the end of the transaction just gave an error message and spat the cards out (may have been a network problem).

Also, the Bureaux De Change in the village and at DLH etc were very quick. Got cash on a UK debit card no problems.
