Can anyone recommend a hotel location that offers something to do besides/after the theme parks? My family likes to be able to step out of a hotel and find something to do right there - eg tourist shopping, arcades, restaurants, other little tourist attractions etc. Last time we went to Orlando, we stayed at Tropical Palms and really liked its location right beside Old Town for that reason. Are there other areas in Orlando, still covenient to the parks, that offer similar things? (We are urban dweller so just an ordinary retail city street isn't what we are looking for -very used to that).

We will also be spending a few days on an Atlantic Coast beach. Currently considering either Daytona or Cocoao Beach. Can anyone recommend a beach hotel on a boardwalk or pier strip that offers similar things to do after the beach?

Thanks.

Hi fla06, Check out Buena Vista Suites. It is located just around the corner from the Outlet Mall, Seaworld and not far from Downtown Disney. All locations you would need to drive to but it is not more than a few minutes to any of them.

The nice thing is they have a full breakfast buffet free for all in your party.

Here is a link.
