:confused3 I know I am probably way out of the loop on this one, but is this a Ride or an Attraction/ Show in Disneyland?
Also when will it be open?
Thanks for any info

its going to be a ride at California Adventure, Its replacing a really lame limo ride, so I don't have great expectations. I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing they are using the same track, but just retheming the ride
Not sure when its opening, but it should be fairy soon

This is scheduled to open in early 2006 - There have been rumors of Christmas soft openings, but they are just rumors.

I saw this in the Unofficial guide to disneyland 2006 book. :goodvibes Might be fun.
At the very least, it can't be any worse then Superstar Limo.

At the very least, it can't be any worse than Super Star Limo. See this kills me personally. I never got to ride SSL and I'd really like to be able to have ridden such a short lived, lame attraction...For posterity sake. At least I have the attraction pin! ;)

I've never ridden it either, but I've experienced the rest of DCA, and for a ride to rate worst in the park, it must be truely horrid. I mean, they couldn't make it more interesting then the Zepher? Or those Parashute/ballone things?

I rode it.
While in the queue (short as it was), you heard the constant blatherings of a Joan Rivers soundalike. Which is only slightly less tolerable than Joan Rivers herself. (At least I think it was a soundalike. If it really was her, I guess they deserve kudos for making her sound slightly less annoying than she usually does.)
As for the ride itself, it featured "drivebys" of various ABC stars, like Drew Carry and Whoopi Goldberg.
You don't need, or want, to know any more than that.

I rode it too - once. I really can't think of a worse ride. I did like the little onboard TV monitor, but that was about the only thing I liked. Imagine Rock n Roller Coaster in slow motion without a theme song. I think the queue was better than the ride.

It couldn't possibly have been worse then Stitches Sucky Escape.

I dunnno - it's a pretty close call for me on that one. I think if I *had* to ride one of them, I'd take the limo - but overall, I think I'd rather be in Marcelline.

The question is how it compares to the tortilla factory. Was there ever such an attraction?
I have this fear now of a sluggish ride around and through cardboard cutouts being built to showcase Monsters Inc. Kind of like the people mover but slower and without the interesting sights.

Here are some details from an interview with imagineer on podcast. May contain some spoilers. Two initial reviews by CM's have it positioned as better than either Pooh ride(WDW & DLR).

Here you go:
.
.
-It will be the only disneyland ride where you the ride takes you through a bathroom scene
-The queue area is supposed to be like a taxi cab or public transportation station
-There will be over 40 characters in the ride (a typical ride has about 20)
-The Roz character at the end will be like Crush and will interact with you
-The sweater for Roz was hand nitted
-Randel will be featured in several of the scenes
-He will appear and disappear right before your eyes (A reverse Haunted Manison ghost effect (the pepper effect I believe)
-In one scene, Boo will hit him on the head with a bat and he will change colors as she hits him (exactly like the scene in the movie)
-A majority of the original voices will return (Including Billy Crystal and John Goodman among others)
-The storyboard for the ride originally came from screen shots from the movie therefore a majority of the scenes will look very close to the scenes in the actual movie
-The ride is fast pased even though the cars are moving slow

The Roz character at the end will be like Crush and will interact with you I really like that idea. You could do a lot with it. Combine the Crush technology with a scene like the trinket sales in El Rio del Tiempo. Your vehicle is turned to face the screen and as you glide down it, a character makes the journey with you chatting with you in real time all along the way.
The tortilla attraction is the best thing in the park.
