San diego airport ???

First of all, this site is sooo cool!!! I haven't visited in months and all the
changes really make this nice

Anyway, I am arriving at San Diego Airport the end of October...wondering if
anyone has had an experience with Dollar Car Rental at that airport. The one
at WDW was so convenient and well managed it helped start off the trip on a good
note. Is a shuttle ride required? How long does it take?

With the increase times to arrive at the airport for security I need to factor in the
time requirements for car rental in figuring out when I will need to pick up and
return my car.

I can't tell you too much about Dollar, except to let you know that the rental car pick-up is across from the airport. About a 2 minute ride. You will have to take the schuttle service to get across all of the winding (and busy) roads. The shuttles come and go all day long. It shouldn't add more that 15 minutes to your time each way. Sorry -- no Dollar here either. We used Alamo.
But like most airports, you go outside and wait for all the car rental shuttles in the same area.
