Is anyone else going to watch Space Cadets on Wednesday? Im going to give it a go :) Not sure how they are going to pull it off, but I reckon it might be good :)

Sorry Sharon, but I do not see how deceiving a group of people who may well have volunteered because of a lifes dream to go into space, is ever going to be "good"

I despair of a society that derives viewing pleasure from the deception and humiliation of others. This is NOT like BB or Celebrity etc. as each of the "contestants" of those programs knows exactly what they are getting in to.
This program is designed to allow the viewing "public" ( or sheep as I see them) to feel superior to the contestants, as they are in on the "joke"

I for one would gladly beat 7 shades of S**T out of Johnny Vaughan if I, as a contestant was met with his smug sneering face once the con had been revealed. ( and I am not a violent person - just do not feel that TV humiliation is a respectable trend

I sincerely hope that those who take part are able to come to terms with the way that they are going to be treated, as the Press will be merciless, take my word.

How long is this on for ? Is it weeks like BB ? I doubt I will get into it, but it's amazing what people will do for their '15 minutes of fame'. I'll probably be glued to the final though

I noticed today that it's only on for 10 days, with the final day a week on Friday, I won't be watching it tonight (clashes with I'm a Celeb .. Coming Out Show), but I may watch it over the weekend.

I think that this idea is really naughty to be honest as I can't imagine the disappointment these individuals are going to feel when they find out it is one big wind up.
I will watch tonights show just to see what it is like.

My DD's were watching it last night and I could hear them laughing quite a bit, so I think it's going to be on (whether I watch it is another matter) for the next week or so

Last nights just showed how the contestants (victims) were chosen. It was very strange and I must admit I didn't feel very comfortable watching it as it is clear the whole thing is just set up to make a group of nice (but very dim people) look very foolish. They looked so excited when told they were going into space bless them. Imagine how they will feel when they get told it's all a set up. I don't think I'm going to watch any more. :)

Watched it for about 5 minutes - maybe they should replace Johnny Vaughan with Jeremy Beadle perhaps, it would be more appropriate (Game For A Laugh) etc...what this shows is I am afraid TV companies are just jumping on the reality show bandwagon, it really is getting silly now...
