Where are the best places to meet people?

Going on first solo trip 5-11 January 2006...anybody have any clues as to the best places at WDW to meet other solo's/singles? I'm new to the Disboards but I think I saw somewhere that some people wear a green patch?

go over on the meet board - and see if anyone is having a meet during your stay - these are great for meeting others.

You can also meet other singles at jelly rolls on the boardwalk or at pleasure island.

Just wanted to say hi! We will also be there from Jan 5-11!! We will be at Jellyrolls on the 7th if you want to meet up!! My husband and I will be meeting up with some old friends.

When you are anywhere on Disney property, and you see someone wearing lime green ribbons, and lime green Mickey heads, just walk up and introduce yourself to them. If they are wearing these things, then they are receptive to meeting other DIS people. You can get your lime green Mickey heads at any Home Depot. Just go to the paint department, go to the display for the Disney brand paint. All the paint swatches are on Mickey heads. Choose the
*Alien Green* color. For myself, I very carefully cut out the Mickey heads, leaving the stiffer backing on. Then I glue them back to back to make a stronger one. I punch a hole between the ears, then hang them all over my fanny pack. My line usually is: " Hi ! Are you from The DIS ??"
