Hello Everyone!

It is a beautiful day here in Nassau. DD7 and I have enjoyed the not crowded pools-we didn't want to go into Nassau. She is in the kid's club as I am writing this. Yesterday, we took a taxi from ASMO to AKL and walked around for a couple of hours and had breakfast at Mara's. Our luggage was taken as soon as we got out of the cab and we checked into the DCL counter. I think next time we will just take a town car to port because we didn't get on the ship until almost 2:30. We left AKL around 12:15pm, went to CBR and were on the way, then security. Then check in was a breeze, but we missed seeing Mickey and Minnie by the model ship and Goofy was just leaving. DD and I went to the Dis meet at the Goofy pool, but a couple people were missing. Anyway, we are having a great time. I will write a full report when we get back home. I will try to answer any questions. We didn't do the new boarding procedure, but it may have been because of us getting to the port so late.

DD7 and I swam in the Goofy pool and mostly had it to ourselves and she also went in the Mickey pool, when we got out it was a little windy, but compared to what we left in our home state, I could handle a little bit of wind. Not sure what the ocean water temp feels like, tomorrow we will be at CC and are doing the stingray excursion, so I will have more info on that for you hopefully.

Hello! I am so jealous that you are on board. I am planning my first cruise ever. We sail on the Magic in september 2006. I am loving all of these live from the ship threads. Please post as often as possible.

Are you sailing alone with your DD. My DD daughter (age 8) and I will be sailing alone. I have some concerns about us running into problems being alone. I am hoping that she will like the kids club so that I will have some time to do some of the adult only activities. Please let me know how you and your daughter do.
