I've been following the "who's going in January" thread.

So far I do not see anyone else signed up to stay at Fort Wilderness. So, will anyone else be at the Fort in January? We will be there from the 8th through the 21st. :sunny:

Hubby will go down there next Friday, spend the weekend at Lazy Days and come home on Sunday with the camper. That will give us a couple of weeks to pack for our Dec 26- Jan 02 trip. I went to Lazy Days last Monday while at Ft. W. That was a big mistake. It took them 3 1/2 hours to "find" my unit and pull it to the front parking lot so I could inspect it and grab a few items out of it that I may need. I tried to tell them that the slides would not work in the parking lot because the batteries were dead, but they did not listen. I was told that after the inspection, I could hook it up and take it home. That's great, except I drove my suburban to Fl, not the daully. I asked them which idiot was going to hook it up to my burb for me and the reply, "You have a fifth wheel, you need a truck." Duh! Well, the slides did not work (batteries dead) so they had to tow it to a delivery site. Got to the delivery site, they have now lost my electrical cord  . I call hubby, again, he calls the head idiot in charge, states a few choice words to said idiot, and a new cord appears. I did a walk through (I sooo love my camper) and they did replace the hardwood floors, insullation and underbelly. They fixed the stove cover and put a latch on the drawer under the bed and on the closet door. They did not replace the recliner, the chipped door, the missing screw on another door. There is still a rip in the vinyl in the master bath. I warned them that hubby was coming in 2 weeks and it would turn ugly. That, my friend, is why I choose to stay at home that weekend! If you hear a low rumble coming from the Tampa area, Skeeter has arrived for the unit and it still will not be done!!!! :rotfl2:

We're heading down on the 5th of January and are staying until the 16th. Can't wait to see some of the Christmas decorations, although I know I need to do that first thing. Also have to head over the Test Track before they close it down for rehab. We're going to "hit the ground running" when we get there.
