I spoke with my AAA agent today and she said that typically Disney will let people book and see how filled they are, if it's slow or they aren't booking rooms, then they will release a discount code. She is thinking that they will probably release the same code that is going on now for January-March.....free upgrade to Park Hopper plus Water Parks and Pleasure Island....after the first of the year....if they do release it. I guess it's just a wait and see game now!

I'd love to see a code (esp. room only as we already have the tix), but I remember last May, the best discount I could get was AAA. Then again, we didn't book the trip until March, so maybe I'd missed an earlier opportunity.

we are going to be there may 10-18. we've already booked our trip (a MYW package)...if a discount code does come out, can it still be applied? and if so, can it only be applied to packages NOT yet paid off? I was planning on paying the remaining balance in January, but maybe I should wait? :confused3

What is the AAA rate for AKL during that time? I am eagerly waiting for AP rates to come out for the end of May to stay at AKL, but was thinking about getting AAA membership just for the discounts. So, if you don't mind me asking, what rate did you get? Thanks in advance! :wave2:

What is the AAA rate for AKL during that time?

We got $270/night for pool view.

Getting the AAA discount is like not paying tax. So it should be approx. $250 for standard, $330 for savannah view.

I've been doing some math and it seems like:

AAA discounted room + MYW tickets = AP discounted room + PAP

Of course the advantage of buying the AP's is getting to use them for another trip.

I was going to wait out codes and then decided look into renting DVC points! :cool1:

Things look good......I was able to rent a Studio at the Boardwalk Villa's for 5 nights for around $600!!! :banana: :banana: (Sunday through Thursday)Check out on Friday. Weekends are more points.

I am so excited! I have never done this before. The person I rented from was very helpful and nice. I gave her my deposit and she sent me a confirmation in my name for my dates.

We don't need a package cause we are getting our 7 day Base tickets for Christmas. :goodvibes

Last year we planned a last minute trip in May and when I called I had a code attached to my name!! Stayed at AKL at a great rate! Doesn't hurt to ask!

Got some junk mail 2 months ago, promotional to join AAA for $29.00 a year, hadn't planned to join but when I saw I could save 15% off our 8 nights @ POFQ or about $150 I thought it was worth the trial. April 30 - May 8th. Another ode or postcard would be nice though. Only time I ever got a postcard / code was in 2001. The week we got back from a 2 week cruise I get a AKL code for $ 109 a night - unfortunately we had no vacation left in the year

We are hoping to go somewhere between May 7th and May 19th. Since we are only planning a 4/5 day stay, and have 3 children (2, 5, and 7), we would like to be as close to the Magic Kingdom as possible. Our main focuss of this visit is the whole "Princess" experience. We were going to stay at the Pop Century, but thought we would look into the Wilderness Lodge because of its proximity to MK. We'll have to check out those discounts first before deciding for sure.

Our other option is to go from Sun, 5/7 thru Frid, 5/12, and rent DVC points hopefully at the Wilderness Lodge Villas. We found Jet Blue flights at $79 each way, so getting there is not a problem, it is finding where we can afford to stay. And, I guess at this point, it would only be the AAA discount which I haven't even seen yet for the Wilderness Lodge and/or villas. Does anyone know what those discounts are? Any suggestions anyone could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
