I am celebrating my 40th birthday at DLP in early January.

I want to have a special celebration meal with my wife, 2 kids and my brother.

I'd love to hear your views about which restaurant to pick. Can I contact the restaurant to arrange anything special in advance??

I think Walt's is a really classy restaurant. I'm sure if you let them know in advance that they'll do something special for you!! Don't forget to get your birthday pin from City Hall!!

I love California Grill, especially for a special occasion. The ambience, food (and wine!) are exceptional - with excellent service too. Makes for a great evening :)

Walts is wonderful but if you are pushing the boat out, I'd go for California Grill

I'd go with The Blue Lagoon - no surprises there! Just a wonderful restaurant in a magical setting and thanks to the 'evening' lighting a lit birthday cake shines brilliantly - cakes can be arranged, probably at the restaurant beforehand or maybe even at your hotel.

Though the menu has something for everyone if you like seafood you are in for a real treat. There are some great cocktails too and the beach setting is perfect for a special celebration. There's also the advantage of The Pirates of the Caribbean ride being in the same building if the kids get restless.

Cafe Mickey - The only place to celebrate anything. It is very upbeat and jolly and if it is a birthday, the staff and characters will all be a part of it.

The food is also excellent, which came as a surprise, because from the restaurant name, we sort of assumed that this would be more of a kids place with "fast-food" but it is a very good menu, with plenty of good quality choice.

For a 40th, I would have to say Walts  , but I have to confess that the California grill does look really good, and I have never tried it!
