Can AP holders still get any kind of deal if you are under the 60 day BRP window? We're thinking of a quick trip in early January and you can't get a quote with the BRP deal.
And, is it true you must call between 2 and 5 in the afternoon, Disney time, to book with an AP?
Thanks

If lots of rooms are still available, Disney has said that they'll make the traditional AP discounts available at that point. It doesn't seem likely that that will happen much this year. Load levels are pretty high, and lots of folks took advantage of the discounts offered already.

I think that has changed. A bit ago, there were several posts saying that BR was now the only way to get AP rooms, and several said they were told they would not be offered except through BR. And yes, you can call between those hours to do your 60 day out booking. I did find, when I had to change my dates, they were very good about it..but she said it was because it was still 60 days out.

No, it hasn't changed. It has always been understood, from the beginning of the BRP, that traditional AP discounts would only be offered if there were lots of rooms still available. Clearly, there are not. Someone posted a message a few minutes ago about how the resorts are utterly packed, and this is early December, traditionally the least crowded time of the year.

That was my understanding in the begining, until people started posting they were told otherwise. If I have time later, I'll go searching for those posts, but some on this board were told, no, no more traditional AP rates. The OP mentioned January. There are at this time plenty of rooms in January, or at least there were when I called for my day change last week. The AP rates have dropped to $49 and I got a pin code for $64.

Folks are "told" a lot of things by CMs (gosh, that fifth theme parks is STILL not open -- what's taking them so long :) ), especially folks who are irate at being told that what they're calling about isn't available. Don't believe any of it until you see it in writing on Disney promotional materials.

Yes, we all realize that not everything is correct when told by a CM (although usually when I'm told something incorrect, I realize the CM is either trying to give pixie dust, or is too new to know all she someday will). I have not been told by any CM's myself that the old way of doing it will be back. I suspect it will be, but I haven't heard anything from the "horse's mouth" myself. All I have talked to have said not at this time. And so far I've not seen anyone post who has been able to get an AP rate within the 60 days, have you? And it's not because they are so booked up..they don't send out all these email codes when they have no rooms. I wasn't able to get it in January, even though I was only a couple days out, and there appear to be plenty of rooms. I did get it at day 60 though, which was just two days past what I tried to get. I've not been successful at all for any last minute trip since they started this program. Have YOU seen something on the promotional material saying we will be able to book if rooms are available last minute with AP's?

I called disney today & asked if I could get an AP discount for my trip. I think I at 53 days until my trip. Well they said no it had to be 60 or more, I was bummed. I even considered moving my trip. I do not have an AP yet, but I would buy one if the rates were really good. Does anyone know what the BP would be for Jan 28 - Feb 4th at BC & the Poly?
