Has anyone had their rehearsal dinner at Boatwright's? Or any dinner at all? We're wondering how the food is and if its kid friendly.

I've never eaten there, but here's a thread about it from the "Restaurant Forum" :)

If you are looking for a seafood dinner for your rehearsal dinner, we are having ours at Fulton's Crab House. Just so you knew that that is an option as well. They are pretty reasonable, and have a great space for private rooms if you are interested.

We had our dinner there, it was GREAT! They set us up in a semi private section for our group of 30. We had 5 tables and they didn't seat anyone else there until EVERY other table in the place was full. By then we were finishing up. They were great to work with, did cash bar for alcoholic beverages for those who wanted them, and split the check between our FTW bill and what DH's parents agreed to pay. While I don't think it counted towards our wedding minimum, it certainly made it easier to just pay out of our wedding money.

The food is very good, the salad is one of the best on the property. Lots of varied choices. There is a good lounge nearby. There is also a boat to Downtown Disney, we took that to Pleasure Island after dinner. Again, lots of fun and they were wonderful. We rarely miss going there for a meal during our vacations.

Oh I love the food at Boatrights and have eaten there as part of a large party my only complaint was that the service was a little slow but the food more than made up for it.

Jess, in terms of best places to eat at Disney I could give you an arm full as I've eaten at every Disney owned restaurant on property and all the places in Downtown Disney too - what's your favourite kind of food, that'll help me give you some of what I regard as good choices?
