View Full Version : TF Green Airport Hotel?

To allow time for all the new security we will have to wake up at 2 am to make our flight. YUK! I thought that if we stayed at a hotel very close to the airport, we could sleep later. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on a hotel near TF Green Airport in Warwick RI? Thank you!

There's a holiday inn or something of the sort right next door to TF GReen. MY wife and I stayed there the night before a very early disney trip a few years ago and the room rate also included allowing us to leave our car on their property for the week so that we didn't have to incur any additional cost for long term parking. It used to be called the Swiss Chalet but they recently changed names. (Travelodge? My notes are at home and Im at work-sorry). We have a reservation there Oct 4th and boy am I glad. My9yr son and I will need to leave hotel by 430 am to make 7am flight. Continental breakfast begins at 430 so we'll grab something on the way out the door. There is a Bugaboo Creek within walking distance for dinner the night before. Only costing $99 plus tax to stay overnight and park for 10 days.

By the way I did call around and this was the cheapest. Its in Warwick.

I wouldn't recommend the Swiss Chalet (or Travelodge). I have heard not so nice things about it. There are four hotels next to the Airport that you can choose from - Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, Sheraton Tara, and Radisson Hotel.

OK what not nice things have you heard about it? As posted above I have ressie there. Should I switch it? My husband and MIL stayed there in 1996 and didnt have a problem.

There have been reports of vandalism and rowdiness. This hotel is off Rt. 95 on Jefferson Boulevard and is an easy target. There is also a Motel 6 next door that I hear is also not so great. There are alot of truckers that stay there. I just don't think this area is one of the safest ones that you could stay in. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends or family.

The Hampton Inn next to the Airport is brand new and looks nice. Hope this helps.
