When I looked on-line at rates for the Contemporary it lists 2 different wing views. Garden wing Standard and Garden wing Garden view. The Standard is listed at $279 and the Garden is $325. My family is now booked at POFQ so I thought I would upgrade us as a Christmas presant. I could budget the $100 for the upgrade to a Standard view, but my TA can only find the Garden view rate. Can someone explain this to me? She e-mailed me that the views are the same, but I remember when I checked in last year they told us they upgraded us to a Garden view for free. Now I am totally confused! I need 2 rooms so even though it is only a $46 dollar difference it would be out of reach for me.

I'm not sure, but I believe the standard rooms are the ones on the bottom of each wing, in the map linked to above, i.e., the ones facing the parking lots (2) and (15). The garden rooms are the other rooms in the Garden Wings, i.e., the ones that have a view of water or the gardens.

Hi. We are booked in a garden view room for our trip in Jan. Standard was our first choice because it is cheaper but they were all booked. Maybe that is the case with your dates as well.

bicker is right, the standard view face the parking lots. With garden view, you'll get a view of the courtyards, tennis courts, lake, pool, or canal. Very nice views, in my opinion. However, for those of you who are monorail lovers, the standard view rooms provide a great view of it!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I have checked on 2 different web-sites and it looks like the $279 rooms are not available for the time I need them. Who knew that finding a room for next October would be so hard? :confused3 I have e-mailed my TA to change that part of my ressie to woods-view rooms at the Wilderness Lodge. So while it is not the resort I wanted, at least I will be able to knock another Disney hotel off of my haven't stayed at list!!! :flower:
