View Full Version : Sean Hannity at SSR--I think
For any Sean Hannity fans, I think he is at SSR today and for Thanksgiving.
He is doing his radio show today from WDW with someone who has a show on my local radio station, Mark Levine. Levine was at SSR broadcasting yesterday and Hannity is joining him today.
Mark Levine commented several times how lovely and beautiful he though SSR is. He said he is very impressed with it all.
Anyone at SSR now--any sightings?
Happy Thanksgiving . all.

My Guide is at SSR this week too!
She was very excited to share SSR with her family! I think it's great that one can be so proud of what they sell that they would invite their whole family without a second thought.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

That's true, and I'm impressed anyone can give a straightforward explanation about someone like Hannity - talk about a love him or hate him personality. :rotfl:
I know this isn't a political board, but we've been on his show (I'm in politics) and let's just say I'm hoping he's long gone before our 12/14 family trip-- there are some things I don't want to expose the kids too. pirate:

That is true, and I don't doubt Hannity's convictions or values, but he's just not a good debater. He always interrupts, raises his voice, and I find him UNentertaining to watch. But it would still be cool to spot him at SSR. ;)

I've never seen or heard Hannity, but I'd love to see Boortz at SSR!
He's one of the few people on the radio that actually takes principled positions.

Any publicity is better then none. Maybe if more people boughtr SSR we would not have to wait so long for the next DVC venture.

Honesty and integrity are good traits to expose our kids to, that's why we don't need to expose them to that doofus. Hopefully they've sanitized the place before our visit next week...
Yuck!
Hannity is on the radio right now-again from SSR. I think he may have DVC points.
I must say, both he and Mark Levine have been saying wonderful things about SSR. Mark Levine even commented on hwo well built he thought SSR is --that the walls are thick and you can't hear your neighbors.
I must say, I like Sean-small doses, but I understand the "bad debater" comments from a previous poster. He is not really trying to debate people though, he has an agenda and a point he wants to state or put out there. I prefer Rush, anyway.

Looks like my original call was correct: love him or hate him. I'd definitely be in the latter camp, and can't help hoping he hasn't been in the same building we'll be at in a two weeks...
I love politics, and think it's terribly sad when political discussions are branded as rude or out of place in polite social settings. How can you possibly make informed votes in a democracy without discussing the issues and candidates of the day?
That said, I enjoy turning off my political life whenever I put on the ears... It's all part of the magic-- left, right, center, whatever... just have fun and spend time with your friends and family... even the wacko right wing nut jobs (there's one in every family) :rotfl2:

My goodness. Don't we all get enough enough of the political bantering without bringing it here?
Yes, reasonable people on both sides can disagree. That doesn't make anyone right or wrong.
Politics can be fun, but I come here for a peaceful, fun, non political escape.
Yes, I can choose to skip this thread, but that's a cop out.
Why?... Let's pretend for a minute that two of three threads were political. Should I just skip the whole forum? Do you see my point?
I do have strong political views, but I choose not to get into that debate during my "fun time" here on DISboards! :)

Maybe if Sean continues to promo Disney on his show, WDW will finally add FOXNews to their TV line-up. HH and Vero have much more variety than the onsite DVC resorts have.
I hate the two cable news options available now at WDW.

All I can say after reading this string is, Wow, I never thought I would read such narrow-minded posts on the DIS!" I think some of the posts here make the "Refillable Mug" strings on other parts of the DIS look like a work of art.
For my part, I really don't care if I run into (insert any talk host name here whether I love them/dislike them/think they are intellectual idiots or giants/anything else... The point is many of us here may never see eye to eye on anything other than our love for Disney and DVC, but at least we share that; and, I am proud to say, I could share that with Beck, Franken, Ingraham, Limbaugh, Rhodes, Schultz, and all the rest if they are there to enjoy Disney and their family!
FWIW, I hope to hear that Disney lets more talk show hosts take their shows to Disney and promote the DVC. I figure it can only enhance the resort popularity long-term.
(P.S. for anyone who cares, the above names were listed in alphabetical order with 3 each from the left and the right for equal representation, so there.)

My comment about "wacko right wing nut jobs" was supposed to be over-the-top and satirical... I'm not sure it came across that way. I don't like Hannity's tactics, but am quite tolerant all political ideologies and happy to debate the far left / far right anytime.
As I said, I think Disney is generally a wonderfully apolitical experience... and fortunately Hannity can't change that. I was just poking fun at him, and I apologize if it came across as mean spiritied.

I think most of the comments on this thread have been good-natured and humorous... I don't think politics have actually been debated on this thread, or did I miss it? People just kind of humorously declared their biases. If you start or open a thread about Sean Hannity... well, what do you expect?

IMHO, Sean Hannity isn't the problem, Fox News is the culprit...
Have had to explain to my children that the Fox News isn't a "real" news broadcast, more of an entertainment venue...maybe they could set up shop @ the ESPN Sports Complex and do a few broadcasts for their fervent fans?

Not trying to speak for Mr. Fedora, But I read that to mean that the left is all about including, loving and accepting everyone...unless that person disagrees with the views of the left. At that point the love everyone attitude becomes a little more hateful.

I like your last sentence Johnnie, it's in the Disney spirit. But a couple of things.
First of all, it's a myth that liberals are "all accepting." I'll put my hardworking, honest values up against anyone's, anytime.
Second, are you really comparing, 'vice versa,' a Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former President with a blow-dried talk show screamer? :rotfl:

I hope you're not saying the "hardworking. honest values" are only for liberals or conservatives! There are plenty of such values on either side of the aisle.

As the OP of this thread I honestly had no idea the responses it would ignite. My objective was to mention that a national radio show was being broadcast from our new "home". (Note:all I consider all DVC resorts my home, even if I don't have points there). I also thought it was great to hear talk show hosts (Hannity and Levine) discuss how great everything was at SSR.
I am surprised by the reaction to this thread becuase I really do not like to mix Dis and politics. When I see political postings here I try not to respond to the venom. I didn't think I was starting a political debate by mentioning Hannity. Just as another poster mentioned I would think it was interesting to see anyone form either side of the aisle at SSR or discussing DVC.
The local station that Sean is on is owned by Disney and that is why the broadcast was from WDW. He did it last Thanskgiving also. But the thing that was different this year was that it was from SSR our new DVC home. That was cool-not a political statement.

Of course it wasn't a political statement. But Sean Hannity is a political animal. His show is entirely about politics so by definition any thread about him cannot help but draw observations that will either be pro or anti Hannity.
If you had said...Tony Danza is broadcasting from SSR...odds are you might (might) have gotten one or two responses and then the thread would have died. Sean Hannity is a polarizing entity.

Yes it is kind of disappointing. The thread went from an annoucement about a national radio show broadcast from SSR which is on topic for a DVC planning forum, to an all out heated debate about the right or wrong of this person's personal view on politics, which to me is totally "off topic" for a DVC planning forum.
In fact I wish if anyone wishes to discuss the pros or cons of this person's political view they would carry it to the Community Board.
