View Full Version : Is there somewhere I can weigh myself at WDW?

I have been trying like crazy to get to my goal weight for our trip. We leave 11/30 and will be there for 2 weeks. I know I will be doing a lot of walking, and I am going to try to not totally go crazy with restaurant meals......If I were only going for a week, I wouldn't really worry about my weight at all, but given it will be two weeks, it might be a bit harder to get under control when I get back.

Is there anywhere on-site, at the resorts, or even off-site (close) where you can weigh yourself? I won't be obsessive or anything, but if I check myself after a week and find I've really gained quite a bit, then I'll know to behave myself better for the next week. I know clothes fitting tighter is always the first clue, but it would be nice to have an actual number. :teacher:

Any thoughts?

There are scales in many spa (exercise) areas of the resorts. I would suggest caution on the scales only b/c a "strange" scale will not be what you are used to and may be calibrated slightly different than the one you are using.

Make healthy choices, do the best you can, plan in your indulgences, have fun, you are on vacation! It sounds like you are making the change a life-style change with healthy choices, so you should be continuing ok. You are doing it!

When you come back get back on your program and let us all know how much fun you had.

Last year we went for two weeks and I actually lost weight! :teeth: I didn't weigh myself at all until we came back. I tied to make healthy choices, but I still indulged in my favourites. I think the key for me was not eating too many snack foods between meals! I went to lots of character meals and of course I had to sample a bit of everything from the buffets! However I never over stuffed myself, I had a little of everything.

You can do this! Just go and enjoy yourself and try to make the healthiest choices that you can, and above all don't kick yourself if you indulge in something yummy! :goodvibes

BTW I had no problem getting back OP when we got back of vacation and it was right before Christmas!

I have not even thought about the scales while we are going to be gone for two weeks. I agree that I don't want to use someone else's because it could really throw the numbers off. We are driving as well, so I may just have to pack mine up and take them with me. Knowing that we were going to be gone for the two weeks, I had already prepared myself for going to the gym at VWL while we are there. I have to keep up my training for the WDW 1/2 marathon while we are away.

I too don't think I want to have a surprise on the scales when we get back and if I have them with me it will help keep me thinking about what I am eating.

Another reason why I love these boards, when we don't think of something, someone else does.

Have a great trip.

. We leave 11/30 and will be there for 2 weeks.

we will be staying with family in maimi beach for thanksgiving for 4 days---
and they love to cook and stuff visiting family members with food -- so that's why i'm taking the scale--

after that we'll be heading to disney we'll be arriveing there on the 28th ---l
i'll have a lime green ribbon on our stroller-- so maybe we'll see you there--

i think we'll be easy to spot --- i'll be traveliing with a group of 15 from jersey--- ( but i swear none of the woman have "Jersey big Hair")
